training is very hard in first year, there are too many rules that should be adhered to
lack of sleep to cadets, lack of healthcare facilities,
too many formalities to be carried out before performing some basic things like going out of the campus
Placement Experience:
placements can happen in any semester starting from 2nd semester, it completely depends on the companies which come to the campus for cadets. 95% of the cadets get placed at the end of their course. teh packages vary from 300000 to 1200000 per year. note that this is the stipend you get while training, once this training is finished and you have al the certifications and are medically fit for sailing you get ti earn 10 times more only after 2 years.
Campus area is big and its beautiful its also very clean

This is one of the finest and hardest course because it mentally strange student there have to have a proper decorum they are lot of rules and the hostel work on hierarchy system we conduct PT every morning for 1 hour
Nothing much but have got some friends you fall into this pit exactl like me

Teaching methods of marine faculties are excellent but in my course they add some additional subject like tamil and hindi which are useless and no neede for a mariner as the marine faculties are good in teaching and explaining but they also having difficulty in teaching as the requirements didn't meet from the college management

Samundra institute of maritime studies offers 100 percent placement on the completion of course with no obligations. But if the candidate fails to complete the course and fails to obey the institutes code of conduct may be facing obligations in placement. The candidate gets stipend for the first six months of sailing as junior engineer and cadet . The salary increases as the candidate clears clears the competency exams .

It's compulsory to opt for hostels. Students don't have the choice to stay outside the campus.

I like the cleanliness maintained by the house keeping staff . which is the main thing every cadet look forward , when they wanted to live in the hostel for one year duration .
here in IMI you can find the faculty very friendly and teaching is very nice . there is no doubt at all . techers are highly qualified here .

there is nothing like i dont like everything is okay in this institution .so you can easily join this instituion for DNS.
