mess, laundry, the training keeping in mind the profession we have ahead, opportunities to shine through your hobbies
the impeccable views from hostel, the environmental beauty of the campus
the bond we make with seniors and the batchmates, the helpful nature of everyone around us

Dislikes

training is very hard in first year, there are too many rules that should be adhered to
lack of sleep to cadets, lack of healthcare facilities,
too many formalities to be carried out before performing some basic things like going out of the campus

Placement Experience:

placements can happen in any semester starting from 2nd semester, it completely depends on the companies which come to the campus for cadets. 95% of the cadets get placed at the end of their course. teh packages vary from 300000 to 1200000 per year. note that this is the stipend you get while training, once this training is finished and you have al the certifications and are medically fit for sailing you get ti earn 10 times more only after 2 years.

Campus area is big and its beautiful its also very clean
Placement is 100% there is different department which help you to get placement
Teaching staff is very good you are so very strick

Dislikes

College is very streak and you have to maintain a proper decorum

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is one of the finest and hardest course because it mentally strange student there have to have a proper decorum they are lot of rules and the hostel work on hierarchy system we conduct PT every morning for 1 hour

Nothing much but have got some friends you fall into this pit exactl like me

Dislikes

Hostel , mess food and mess hall , no facilities for marine practical

Teaching methods of marine faculties are excellent but in my course they add some additional subject like tamil and hindi which are useless and no neede for a mariner as the marine faculties are good in teaching and explaining but they also having difficulty in teaching as the requirements didn't meet from the college management

Likes

The infrastructure of the institute is perfect for a student
The institute has experienced faculty who has sailed for the years in maritime sector
The daily routine of a cadet in this institute promotes positivity to the surroundings.

Dislikes

This institute has less focus of festivals and programmes conducted by the institute.
The level of conducting exams is easier but has frequent examinations which is good as well as bad for mental health
The food in this institute is good but whereas for a south indian adopted for more spicy ness cannot be easily adopt this food

Samundra institute of maritime studies offers 100 percent placement on the completion of course with no obligations. But if the candidate fails to complete the course and fails to obey the institutes code of conduct may be facing obligations in placement. The candidate gets stipend for the first six months of sailing as junior engineer and cadet . The salary increases as the candidate clears clears the competency exams .

Teachings and faculty is well educated and expert in their subjects. All the captains help in interviews exams and to get sponsorship
The Campus has newly built hostels and sports infrastructure The campus is also well maintained. With latest equipment like VR , main mast, ship in campus
All the cadets in the institution gets to apply for many major companies and the placement rate is impressive

Dislikes

The food is not up to the mark . North indian student may have some difficulty at the start but all over they are trying to improve and has improved from last sem
Phoned are not allowed in academic hours which is both good and a bad thing
The boy and girls ratio is very uneven but it happen in all the maritime college

Placement Experience:

My course student comes for training after getting placed but for course like bsc and btech u can get start the interviews after second year Many company visit the campus like v ship , synergy , dynacom, imac, maersk , wallem and many more Till the end of the course almost every cadet gets placed and those who dont gets collenge support after the course After getting tge degree u can start joining ship from the company you are placed

Likes

The faculty to student ratio is phenonenal. Every student gets personal attention if he/she is genuinely interested.
The placements are guaranteed if you don't have any backlogs. Only the best shipping companies from the whole world visit our campus. Substandard companies aren't even allowed.
The campus is lush green and vibrant. The hostels are clean and the mess food is top notch. Every kind of sports is available.

Dislikes

There are a lot of restrictions on students. They can't go out of the campus during weekdays.
It's compulsory to opt for hostels. Students don't have the choice to stay outside the campus.
There should be more events in the campus.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from the first semester itself. BP,Stena,NYK,MOL,Carnival,PIL,Fleet,Synergy,Chevron,etc. are some of the companies which visit Tolani Maritime Institute regularly for placements. 95% students get placed in the course. I aim to get placed in a good company and pursue my career in this field.

Colleges has qualified faculties with excellent teaching skills
Good infrastructure, college has Asia's largest marine workshop
College has gym, swimming pool, hockey, football ground,volleyball and basketball court for extra carricular activity

Dislikes

Girl to boy ratio is less, In my batch total twenty lady cadets are there and two hundred and fifty boys.
College Mess food quality needs to be improved
In certain areas of college, students face hygiene and sanitation issues.

Placement Experience:

After completion of first semester campaines came to recruit cadets. Most of the companies recruit after sixth semester. Name of companies visit IMU kolkata are WSM. Synergy. Anglo eastern. Pacific basin. Chevron. Almost everyone in the batch gets placement before completion of their respective degree.

I liked the management system of IMI [international maritime institute] greater noida . And the faculty here is very good .
I like the cleanliness maintained by the house keeping staff . which is the main thing every cadet look forward , when they wanted to live in the hostel for one year duration .
here in IMI you can find the faculty very friendly and teaching is very nice . there is no doubt at all . techers are highly qualified here .

Dislikes

there is nothing like i dont like everything is okay in this institution .so you can easily join this instituion for DNS.
Here we have great many placement opportunities for cadets .

For DNS youll be getting sponsorship before getting into college admission . so there is no need to fear about college placements. and IMI has various types of MNC companies tied up with the college. after the completing one year course youll be out at sea for 18 months contract as a trainee cadet .

Campus life in tolani maritime institute

Likes

Campus of the college is good and beautiful.
Food in the mess is good for health and hygienic.
Hostel facilities are good and every cadet feels comfortable in the campus.

Placement Experience:

From the first year itself people get eligible for the placement only they should have good score and many of the best companies visit and take good cadets every semester. Almost 100% cadets get placement.

Likes

The overall courses are good and the faculty is also well
The hostel is good and the facility provided are above mark
The discipline is just like NDA and uniform like Indian navy

Dislikes

Seniors will.have control on you in first year
Chapan and dasan will.be taken and should not be complaining
The timings for city leave is just till 6 pm for 1st year

Placement Experience:

The placement record of the college is impressive with almost 95% of the cadets getting placed in good companies and the placement start from the earliest of the 5th semester and the lady cadet at yhe 3rd semester
