BITS Pilani has a strong track record of providing students with excellent job opportunities after graduation. The Institute's Career Development Center (CDC) works closely with students and companies to provide students with internships and job opportunities. The placement process at BITS Pilani starts in the pre-final year of the undergraduate program, with the campus placement season usually starting in August. The Institute invites a large number of companies from various sectors such as IT, consulting, finance, and manufacturing, to conduct campus interviews. The placement process is highly competitive, with a large number of students competing for a limited number of positions. BITS Pilani has a strong alumni network that also helps students in finding job opportunities. The Institute also provides students with career counseling and guidance services to help them prepare for job interviews and to make informed decisions about their careers.

Here, the college invites companies for recruiting us. All the top companies visit our college. I am not aware of the exact selectivity rate, but it is good. The highest package was offered in domestic for 90lacs by Polygon. The average package is 18-19 lacs for all departments, and 30 lacs for IT placements. My plans after getting a degree are to do a job for 2 years and then MS. Students get recruited for internship from 3rd year onwards.

Every year, there are two placement seasons scheduled at BITS Pilani campuses. As part of the Practice School programme, our students spend one of the two semesters of their final year working in industry and are only available sometimes on campus. On each campus website, two months prior to placements, you can get information about the profiles of the students who are available for placement in each season.

In my opinion, both BITS Pilani and IIT Roorkee are in the same league while IIT Guwahati is a bit inferior to them. Let’s discuss further on the basis of some very common aspects
Both the colleges have their own strengths and weaknesses and comparing them is illogical. I would say that if you are genuinely interested in CSE, then Pilani will be better for you than Roorkee. But if you aren’t certain of your area of interest then choose IIT Roorkee for its IIT tag.
