From the 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements but getting placement is difficult and with a good package is rare. But there are certain fields in which fir agriculture engineering students competition is less like for assistant agriculture engineer and AFO etc. Students can pursue MTech here clearing JRF. Recently companies like escort, VST, AMUL, MAHINDRA have hired 10-15 students with an average package of 5LPA. My plan is to prepare for UPSC after getting a degree.
I choose this course as I very much liked and understood this subject in 11th and 12th classes and wanted to learn more about it. There are a total of 2 professors who teach Physical Chemistry, 2 for Organic and 3 for Inorganic Chemistry. They are all well qualified and effective in teaching their subjects. There are theory-based mid-term (15 marks) and annual exams (60 marks) in each semester. There is a practical exam (25 marks) for each subject I.e., physical, organic, and inorganic which is there in that semester. It is not tough to pass if you read and prepare according to the syllabus.
MBA - ABM is an emerging area in today's world that offers excellent employment opportunities. You can work in the financial sector or apply for off-campus or on-campus placements. Exams are held at the end of each semester. The midterm will be worth 30 points, the semester will be worth 55 points, and the assignment will be worth 15 points.
BSc(Hons)ag course consists of 8 semesters for 4 years. This course is ever demanding course. The student and faculty ratio is 1:2 Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. scholars. They teach on the interactive board. In one year 2 semesters exam happens. In each semester, one internal theory exam and one external theory exam with practicals occurs. One can pass the exam by good preparation.
From the 8th sem onwards the students are eligible to seat in Campus interviews. Different companies visit colleges for hiring students. The packages vary according to the companies and the performance of students in the interview.
Agriculture is a 4-year course i.e having 8 semester. So you will be eligible for campus placement after 7th semester. About 65-70% students got placements in various private and semigoverment companies like PPL, Dhanuka, Nagarjuna, Pesticides India, IIFCO,etc. Annual package varies from 3-20 LPA with an average 8 LPA depending upon the companies. Other 30-35% students opt for AAO,AHO and various other competitive exams.I am preparing for Agricultural MBA exam.
I like the subject. The student-teacher relationship is just like father and son. Basically, a relationship depends upon how you behave. The teaching method is mostly theoretically. In the exam, you have to write more in a short time period. A lot of question and a lot of answers. In one semester you have to attend 2 exams just like the internal and external exam.
7th-semester students are eligible for the campus selection. Various seed companies, chemical companies, fertilizer companies, steel companies, vehicle companies, private banks, etc have visited the campus for placement purposes. The average package of 4-5lac per year. Most students prepare for competitive exams and for PG exams... Very few go for the placement. My plan will be to prepare for the competitive exams.
After the 8th semester, we become eligible for campus selection. Some feed companies come to choose their employees and few private banks also come occasionally. I don't know the packages. 1% of students get placement. My plan is for pg after degree. But that is too uncertain because there is no such job option. The government post is vacant but we can't get recruitment every year
