TERI SAS Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

TERI University offers Master of Technology (M.Tech) in various specializations such as Renewable Energy Engineering and Management, Urban Development and Management and Water Science and Governance. The courses are offered for a duration period of two years.

Eligible candidates are required to appear in an online entrance test conducted by the university. The shortlisted candidates are further required to appear in a personal interview which is too conducted by the university.

At postgraduate level, the university also offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) to the aspiring candidates who want to pursue their career in the field of Administration. The course is offered in two specializations such as Business Sustainability and Infrastructure for a duration period of two years.

Candidates must need to meet the eligibility criteria in order to get admission. The candidate will be shortlisted based on CAT/MAT/GMAT/CMAT/XAT scores. Candidates who have not appeared for the above exams can take the TERI University common entrance test.

Candidate having experience of two years or more may be exempted from above; this depends upon the decision by selection committee. 

List of Courses:

Candidates who are interested to take up Law as their career can do so as the university is providing LLM to the students for a duration of one year. The course is offered in two specializations such as Environment and Natural Resources Law and Infrastructure and Business Law.

A candidate having an LL.B. / B.L. Degree is only eligible to take admission in LLM in this university. However, the eligible candidate will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in All India based Online Entrance Test conducted by the university. The short-listed candidates are further required to appear in personal interview.

List of Courses:

TERI university offers Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (M.Sc) for a duration period of two years, two years. The university also provides one year PG Diploma programme. The M.A programme specializes in Public Policy and Sustainable Development and Sustainable Development Practice whereas the M.Sc course specializes in Climate Science and Policy, Economics, Environmental Studies and Resource Management, Geoinformatics, Plant Biotechnology and Water Science and Governance. The PG Diploma programme specializes in Water Science & Governance and Public Policy & Sustaiable Development. Intake capacity depends upon the nature of specializations opted by the candidates.

For admission in MA and M.Sc courses, eligible candidates will have to appear in an online entrance test followed by a personal interview conducted by the university.

Candidates seeking admission in PG Diploma will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in last qualifying examination and performance in personal interview.

Note: For admission in MA PPSD, officers must have group A service tenure of 5 years on starting of programme. Candidates must have remaining service of 3 years after the completion of programme. The officers should not have undergone a training Programme of 12 weeks or more duration in India during a period of 5 years preceding the date of commencement of this programme. Further, the officer should not have undergone a Programme of training abroad of more than 2-weeks in preceding 2-years, more than one month in preceding 3-years or more than six months in the preceding 5-years. 

At research level, TERI University offers Ph.D program in various specializations such as Bioresources and Biotechnology, Business Sustainability, Energy and Environment, Natural Resources Management, Policy Studies and Water Science and Governance.

Candidates who possess M.Sc or M.Phil in relevant field or equivalent or Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10 point scale or 75% marks should consider applying in this category. However, admission will be given on the basis of performance in personal interview conducted by the university.

List of Courses:

Apart from the regular courses, the university also offers Distance Education to the students. The courses offered under this programme are PG Diploma in Renewable Energy and Advanced PG Diploma in Renewable Energy.

A graduate in any stream or a diploma in engineering (which is considered equivalent to graduation) are eligible to take admission in this university. However, selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks scores in last qualifying examination.
