The placement statistics of IIT Delhi are quite impressive, with a large number of companies visiting the campus each year to recruit students for a variety of roles in a range of industries. IIT Delhi is one of the top engineering institutions in India and is highly regarded by employers for its rigorous academic programs and high-quality students. In recent years, the institute has consistently achieved a high placement rate, with a large number of students receiving multiple jobs offers from top companies. The average salary offered to students has also been consistently high, with many students receiving offers in the range of 8-16 lakhs per annum.
During the third year, you will be eligible for internships. During the fourth year, you will be eligible for applying for full-time positions. For both, the placements, training, and placement cell organizes such activities. You have to talk to them to proceed with the applications.
I don't think that placement should be the topic of discussion as the college is popular of its high placement offers. The college maintains a record of 100% placements. The highest placement offer of the college goes up to 2 CPA and the college average salary offer is around 25 LPA. The placement cell of the college is full of experienced faculty members and they have very good industrial experiences which help them to train us for the placement process and interview rounds.
GOOD : IIT Delhi is one the top 3 IITs in India. It has got great exposure, excellent faculty and great amount of research and startup facilities too. BAD : It takes very good JEE Advanced rank to take admission in IIT Delhi. Once we enter into IITD, there is a lot of competition as all the topmost students of India get admitted here.I preferred IITD over other IITs because it is one of the oldest and top IITs in India. It has got great reputation. I always wanted to go into research and academia. So Engineering Physics at IITD was the perfect course for me. Also, as I am from Delhi, IITD is close to my house and I come and visit my parents whenever I want.https://epiitm.wordpress.com/ - this page describes the Engineering Physics course very nicelyhttps://pankajmandalphysics.wordpress.com/engineering-physics-at-iit-bombay/ - this page describes the Engineering Physics course very nicelyI mainly looked into my branch because I was pretty sure that IITD is a great college.
College is located in the heart of city New Delhi. You are living in the posh area of Delhi. When you enter the campus, there is a amusing silence in the campus which makes me the experience a lot better.
The IIT Delhi hostel rooms are very comfortable and make you feel at home. The names of IIT Delhi hostels are based on the names of hill ranges of India- Aravali, Girnar, Himadri, Jwalamukhi, Kailash, Karakoram, Kumaon, Nilgiri, Satpura, Shivalik, Udayagiri, Vindhyachal and Zanskar. All the hostel rooms are two-seater. All the rooms are equipped with beds and almirahs. Water coolers are allowed inside the rooms during the summer season. The hostels of IIT Delhi are facilitated with a mess, washing machines, and drinking water supply on each floor. Here are some pictures of the IIT Delhi hostel rooms-
