- Things i liked in this college is exam conducting bodies and curriculum and very important senior junior connection where senior help juniors in most helpful way.

- I think the things i disliked about this college is support of faculties and the distance of hostels of 2nd 3rd and final year hostels from main college where classes are scheduled.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fees policy in this college is good as for the last 5 to 6 years they have fixed tuition fees. The complete cost of the btech course is around 6.5 lakhs which is great. Government scholarships worth 50 to 60 thousand help students struggling with paying fees. They also have a concept of fee waivers that is the top 3 students of every branch will be restricted from paying tuition fees.

- The interaction you do with your seniors is quite interesting. There is not such that type of ragging done in this college. Campus life and hostel life is very good. Unlike other colleges the restrictions are also few.
- There is no such strictness regarding the attendance. You can get free time for your own interests for developing your skills . Also there are many opportunities for ever skill or hobby you have.
Dislikes
- Not for all but for west campus students the college is far which results is wastage of time. And there is also no transportation facility available for students of west campus. They have to travel to college from their own expense.
- The faculty is not heading anything in college. Everything is headed by seniors. Also the faculty is not coperative. Rarely they approve for fests.

The fee is stable. Your academic fee will be 1,35,000 including your all fee of sports, gymnasium, exmanination fee, and every other fee excluding your hostel and mess fee. The hostel fee you have to pay is 25000 and mess fee of 36000 annually.

It is little expensive as compare to other government college. In first year, we need to pay a fee of 1,35,000 rupees. In this we pay 75000 rupees as a tuition fee and the remaining money for various college charges. From the second year onward, we pay a fee of 1,27,500 rupees. We get UP Scholarship around 56500 to 96400 according to category. At the time admission some student is selected as a Tuition fee Waiver from every branch according to there JEE Mains rank.

The scholarship program is conducted by UP scholarship in which they give 50k to 60k money good for us and it is worth for us. What should I prefer: Mechanical Engineering at HBTI, Kanpur or CSE at IET, Lucknow?
Both of the institutions are situated at a distance of 80 km from each other. IET Lucknow is situated in the industrial capital of Uttar Pradesh and the HBTI Kanpur is situated in the Political capital. If you live in one of the two cities, you can choose accordingly; otherwise, this factor has no significance.
- According to AKTU, both the institutes are ranked at number 1 and number 2 in UP, but the situation is completely different analytically. HBTI is a well-known institution and has been the parent institute of IIT Kanpur and Uttar Pradesh Textile Institute.
- Both the institutes are government-run with complete control over examinations and the curriculum of courses offered by them.
- If you enjoy programming, Computer Science would be the appropriate course for you, while Mechanical Engineering is for those who want to acquire a genuine sense of what engineering is all about.
- The faculty of IET Lucknow is better than that of HBTI.
- You will have numerous opportunities outside the campus. The placement statistics for the mechanical department are not very good at both institutes, but placement in the CS department is extremely good.

NIT Srinagar is a reputed institute; additionally, HBTU is also an ancient and esteemed institute. The new Vice-Chancellor of the second one is completely dedicated to institutional development, and the institute is developing radically over the past few years.

So, it can be concluded that both of these institutes are equally good. One of my friends was a former student of HBTU, so he was quite partial to his institute, as he studied there, so he knew better.
From the year 2018, to get admission to HBTU, the student has to qualify 12th standard board exam from UP, or their parents must belong to the UP domicile.
