Ajay Kumar Garg College Engineering popularly known as AKGEC, was established in 1998 in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The institute is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. AKGEC is the only Engineering college to be awarded A++ by NAAC.

To gain admission to AKGEC, candidates can either sit in JEE Main Exams and based on JEE Mains 2024 score, they can apply for admission or can take Direct Admission based on 12th score & JEE Mains Score. Through JEE Mains
- Visit https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/, apply for JEE Mains, sit in JEE Mains Examinations, wait for the results.

Admission is from JEE mains and direct both are available. For direct admission you have min 90 % for CSE branch, and for other branches about 80 to 85 %. Through councelling if you have 1L to 1.4L rank you definitely get CSE branch and specialization.

I was enrolled here by aktu counseling for which I had given my Jee exam . The admission process was not hard it was easy enough my all documents were verified in one day after counseling I have came here for physical reporting .

- I also like my college canteen, classrooms,and the culture of saying Jai hind to everyone including teachers , seniors , etc. The campus is very pleasing and beautiful. We alao have a temple of saraswati ji which allows us to worship our goddess.
Dislikes
- The lack of facilities such as proper food facility in hostel mess , the behaviour of the staffs . You have to trouble a lot in doing your document related works,also they are very careless and uncooperative towards students.
- Our college is easily access by outsiders as it is not well bounded from all sides thus creating problem to students especially our girls.The teachers too focus on only subjective study not on technical.
Admission:
Eligibility for the course is 12 pass alongwith a good rank in jee mains exam or 90 above percentage in class 12. Application form should be available on aktu official website . Based on caste reservation benefits should be avail by students. College should improve in thier admission process in the field of a well supportive admission cell, document work,etc.

The 85% admission is done by UPSEE counselling and 15% management quota . The application form is akgec site and the counselling is based on the JEE Score and it also include the reservation. For example :- If you want CSE and you belongs to genral categories than you need above 94 percentile in JEE for OBC 88 it's vary year to year .

To be eligible for the course, you have to completed Maths , Physics and Chemistry in your 12th grade or Diploma Holder with any Branch. Direct management quota admittance is available if your PCM 12th percentille is higher than 90%. The JEE Main or UPTAC conselling/management quota are used for selection.

- AKGEC have a vast campus and good faculty who is very supportive. Infrastructure was very nice.
- There are various cultural and technical socities which enhances your personality.
Dislikes
- They have a strict rule of attendance minimum 75% which is mandatory for all.
- On campus placement is not so good as it is a tier-3 college.
Admission:
Eligibility for the course you must passed 12th in the science stream which includes physics, chemistry and maths. If your 12th percentage of PCM subject is above 90% you get admission through direct management quota. Selection is done through JEE main or UPTAC conselling/management quota. College provide fee waiver to EWS students for their study.
