Remarks :
Campus life is the biggest positive for IIT B. Also, the small-batch size ( around 120) enables you to connect with your batchmates personally and cultivates Great friendships. You will also get a lot of opportunities to pursue your hobbies in any field because of the ecosystem you have in IITB
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is structured in such a way that one gets to learn a lot through classrooms as well as case studies. It prepares the students well for the corporate world. The program is a residential program and it is very rigorous. It provides a general management degree wherein you are free to choose your electives based on your interest.
Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are really bright and the Management program has 100% final placement as well as Summer internships with some of the best companies visiting the campus. Placements at SJMSOM has always been a tremendous success. SOM has been setting new standards for campus placements with each passing year. The average CTC is above 20 lakh.
College Events :
Almost all the events are celebrated in IIT B. You name it and it is here. The major events in SOM are: 1. Avenues: it is the annual business festival of SJMSOM 2. Prithvi: it is the annual inter B school sports festival
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is affordable compared to IIMs and other B schools. The semester fee is around 2.15 lakhs and you will have to pay 27000 per semester as mess advance and 12000 per semester as hostel fee. It is approximately 10L for the entire course.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
SBI and Canara Bank offer loan facility and it is easier to get once you get admission. They come to campus during admission and help you get loans instantly. You can also get a scholarship if you score well in academics. For that, you need to be among the top 15% in your studies.
Campus Life :
The facilities are world-class. IIT Bombay is well known for its world-class sports infrastructure. You will have all the modern sports available here. There are also a lot of tournaments conducted every year. You will get ample opportunities to pursue your interest.
Hostel Facilities :
IIT B has one of the best infrastructures in India. The facilities are top class. There are 18 hostels in IIT Bombay. And the fresher students are allotted to newer hostels where you have all the modern facilities like gym, playing room reading room badminton court, etc.
Alumni/Alumna :
IIT B has a very wide alumni network and they are really helpful. There is an Alumni relations team to build a strong and effective alumni network. Some of the SOM alumni are at the top positions in some MNCs.
Admission :
Admission to the management program is through CAT followed by a personal interview and written test. You need 95+ percentile with 80+ in all the sections to stand a chance to get a call from IIT Bombay. The interview will test all the aspects of your life and test your personality. You will also have a written ability test.
Faculty :
Faculties are really good and helpful. Shailesh J Mehta School of Management has full-time faculties as well as visiting faculties from the best institutions. You will also be able to interact with Other IIT BOMBAY faculties as well if you take institute electives. Overall faculties are highly qualified and experienced.
