Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure of our department, Petroleum engineering, is well structured and well designed. We will also be learning programming in the coming years so it might be helpful. Frequency of exam is acceptable. This semester it there was just one sessional exam .

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 400000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Many companies visit our campus each year. I do not know about stipends as i have just arrived here. Students get to do internships in IITG, Tezpur University, AEC, JEC ,etc Students also get to do internships in OIL, ONGC AND NRL

Placement Experience :

Students can sit in placement drive from fifth semester onwards. Various companies and startups visit the college every year. Notable companies are OIL, ONGC, BCOL, NRL, etc I plan to sit in campus placement

Fees and Financial Aid :

the fees for one year in btech is one lakhs rupees a year only .. however the fees don't get raised. It is quite reasonable . The fees for the other branch is same .. but the strength is different according to the branches

Campus Life :

there are a lots of technical fests held here. There are a lot a books for our help and knowledge. There are sports equipment's and ground for physical fitness and training. we all like to be in the college..

Hostel Facilities :

Electricity is provided 24 hours along with hostel wifi. Single and double rooms are available. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and newly repaired. Meal is good but lacks variety. Hostel fees is quite affordable.

Hostel Fee : INR 2147483647 per year

Admission :

I chose this college as I was interested in petroleum engineering and Dibrugarh University is the only college that offers this branch of engineering. To get admission here one need to clear either JEE and Assam CEE exam. And a minimum score of 60% in class 12th exam.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is 1:49 which is quite good. Faculty is friendly and approachable and helpful. All of the faculties are friendly and helpful so i like all of them. Still I like the BEE teacher the most.

Night Life :

the nightlife is really happening here. the students here are very active at nights too .. the gym facilities are outstanding here and the cafeteria are quite cost effective for the students and also gives a good service.

My View on the DIBRUGARH University Institute of Engineering and Technology

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 5th semester. Various companies visit the campus each year. Since the college is specialised for petroleum engineering placement offers come from OIL, NRL, ONGC, BCPL,etc for the petroleum and mechanical branches. Various other companies and startups come for students from the CSE and ECE departments But the percentage of students getting placed is low as the top students from each branch are only allowed to sit in the placements drive. I plan to try for the campus placements. Of I don't make it then will attempt GATE. for mtech.
