Course Curriculum Overview :

I personally was inclined towards electronics and hence chose the course. The exams are well distributed and students get a good opportunity to make up their marks due to multiple evaluatives. Exams are difficult

Placement Experience :

You have a choice to sit for placements in the second last or last semester of your course (single degree) The detailed data regarding placements and company visits can be found on our institutions website. I will be sitting for on campus placements personally No. Of students being placed depends upon students' skillset and market scenario.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The semester/ term BITS Pilani fee for integrated first degree and higher degree courses is Rs 2,31,500 for the first and second semesters. On the other hand, the BITS Pilani fee for PhD programmes is Rs 21,850 for full-time candidates and Rs 43,700 for part-time candidates for the first two semesters. Aspirants are offered many scholarship schemes and concessions for admission at BIT Pilani campuses. BITS scholarships and concessions offered vary for courses as well as different BITS campuses.

Campus Life :

Barber, Grocery Store, GYM, Badminton Court, Football Court, Cricket Court etc. Laundries (3), Food Outlets, Mess, etc. Hostels are categorized into the following - AH (1-10), DH (1-9), CH (1-6) for girls. We also have washing machines in the hostel. Even though each room is not air conditioned, the common room has a TV, TT table and multiple ACs which student can use anytime post 5 PM.

Hostel Facilities :

I lived on campus itself. Hostels are categorized into the following - AH (1-10), DH (1-9), CH (1-6) for girls. We also have washing machines in the hostel. Even though each room is not air conditioned, the common room has a TV, TT table and multiple ACs which student can use anytime post 5 PM. Mess food is better than most engineering colleges and there are several other food outlets

Admission :

The number 1 reason I chose this institute was the 0% reservation policy. This means that you are granted admission on the basis of pure merit, no conditions attached whatsoever. Due to this, you get to interact with like minded people having similar goals and mindsets as you. There is no kind of bullying or segregation whatsoever and everyone is treated with utmost respect

Faculty :

The faculty is top notch. Majority of professors have done their masters from IVY or from top IITs in India. They are well aware of current trends in industry regarding placements and also have complete information about the application of their teachings in the present world and future.

Placement Experience:

The placement at my college are decent. Students from Computer and IT department easily get placed at a company. The companies that frequently visit Goa engineering college are persistent, one shield, Infosys, tcs , Wipro etc . Each year there are around 300 offers received in the entire college. The highest package a student has got is 15lakhs per annum from TurtleShell. The average package is 6 LPA. Around 50% od the students get placed. I wish to work at a product based tech company after my graduation.

Placement Experience:

Final students are eligible for placements. Companies such as turtle mint, findem, Nokia, IFB, Samsung, Adani power, HDFC Bank, Tesco, Upskill, ONGC, Jio, and many more. Last year almost everyone got placed. Average package is 10 LPA. This year though placements were not as expected because of economic depression. Even after the placements, lay offs have become common. Hence to cope up with the competition we need to keep upskilling.

Remarks:

The college as a whole has good faculty, infrastructure and good placements. It can be one of the best colleges one could get (if not an IIT). The only negative (not exactly) remark would be the fee structure of the college
