What Students Say

Likes

Faculties are quite coperative and well qualified.
There all types of labs are available here.
Lush green campus with a private lake within the campus.

Dislikes

Nearest airport is 100 km away so other state students face problems in up down.
Infrastructure of campus is old as it nit is established in
Nit KKR conduct 2 mid sem so it pressurise students.

Course Curriculum Overview

Currently i am in first year so i have to study subjects like engineering graphics, mathmatics, environmental studies,c programming, business and economics.Till now i found curriculum relevant, i have no issues.

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Interships are no so good ,but still some of brilliant students manage to get intership in wel known companies. usually stipend varies company to company, usually tech companies offer internships to students,one of my friend get intership at Microsoft.

Placement Experience

Nit kurukshetra is of one best nit when it comes to placements opportunities around 80 percent of students ensures placements every year. Highest placement is in computer science department around 90 percent placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

For general category fee is 1.2 lakhs per annum,for ews catagory it about 40 thousand,all the expenses such as medical,lab, development etc are included in fee.for sc and ST catagory there is no tution fee.

Campus Life

Campus Life is full of energy and enjoyment, every year in October annual fest confluence is organised. Here you get all types of club related to management, photography, teaching,drama,dance etc. Technical societies are also active on nit kkr.

Hostel Facilities

There are four hostel provided for first year mmstudents,in total there are 16 hostels,12 for boys and 4 for girls. Although hostel infrastructure is old but accommodation is quite soothing, hostel charges are 35k per semester.

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

I am from haryana itself so i got home state quota so my first choice is always nit kurukshetra,i was alos getting admission at nit Srinagar but due to travelling and climatic conditions i didn't. Admission process at nit kkr is quite simple you have to fill josaa or csab counseling.

Faculty

Faculty are quite coperative and well qualified. Although academics are very tough but thanks to faculty members we hardly face any problem,per semester, mid semester are conducted twice and once end semester.

College experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this university and this course as it was near to my home, officials in the academic buildings are really bad. They will not help in getting documents unless you complaint about them to seniors. Then only they work properly. I know I have spent around one month outside their office to get my semester wise dmc.

Placement Experience:

from the 4th semester you are eligible for placements and the lacements are typically good most of it being paid stipens highest i got was 50k a month and the lowest i got was around 20k a month for my internship and you get placements from around the end of 3rd year

I don't get any intership till now so I can't add any comment.

Placement Experience:

Still it is new college you know that there is no certain records of placement. I am from 2nd batch of this college. But I would say it will provide enough good packages. In 2nd year you have to sit for internship as per the curriculum of this college. so out of 107 seniors, 85 students grabbed intership from the 2nd year. We hope we also be able to grab internship in 3rd year.

Remarks:

There were all of this available. We had a great time exploring various sports. The debate held use to be very interesting and we all had a god learning curve. There was no issues in such gathering we all were one unit as a whole. We were always united and we use to really stay in the scope of togetherness.

I have given jee mains exam for getting into nit kurukshetra college. I got 98 percentile and rank of less than 1500 in OBC category. Counselling is very easy they provide every information needed and assistance for queries.
