i particulary selected this course because of how its designed. Apart from the core electrical subjects we were to take 2 electives every sem to learn something different as well which includes diverse set of choices. It really helps you prepare for the real world with subjects like economics, ethics and business management. It could be improved a little with the course syllabus. Even the teachers agree the sullabus is not properly designed. Freaquesncy is usually once a month and they are easier to prepare for as most of the questions are based on your understanding of the subject.

I chose Electrical Engineering because there was wide scope as an Electrical engineer student in the government sector as well as the private sector also. After studying this course we get theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge by attending the lab class which teaches us about real work application. According to me about practical knowledge or lab classes are quit pure which is very important for students to get confident about their knowledge.

The course opted by me in my institute is BTech in Electrical Engineering. I opted this course because of its broad future aspect and this being a circuital branch brings ample opportunities in tech as well as core feilds. Also the core jobs in this field can rarely be replaced by Artificial Intelligence, which broadens its future scope. Electrical being the hectic course and is considered as one of the difficult branches in engineering but also a interesting one.

I am pursuing Electrical Engineering and it is considered as one of the toughest branch. My main goal is to take tech job but got electrical (core) in councelling but the records and statistics shows that majority of the tech companies allows EE branch for their interviews. Although their is good scope for core enthusiasts like PSU and GATE.The core environment is good in the college with proper labs although they required some needy maintenance. There are 2 mid sem examination and a final end sem examination in a semester for each subject.
There is five days in week college Saturday Sunday will be off. exam helds 3 times in one semester 2 mid- sem and one end -sem. Can also prepare for other exam along with college. College is in 300 acres

The curriculum of the course is well structured and maintained by one of the best faculty. In this institute all the faculties are nice and qualified for their job. if you follow the rules and regulations set by the institute you will not have any hard time here
If you think statistically, then PEC Chandigarh is better than NIT Kurukshetra. Considering this, the following reasons are listed:
Placement at PEC= 1.58* NIT Kurukshetra
Criteria |
PEC |
NIT Kurukshetra |
NIRF Ranking 2020 |
68 |
40 |
Highest CTC |
42.5 LPA |
17 LPA |
Average CTC |
10.2 LPA |
7.44 LPA |
Besides, the internship records of this institute can be compared with old IITs. Students of PEC get approximately 169 internship opportunities, of which 24 were pre-placement offers. Many students also get the opportunity to join as a research intern in a renowned foreign university, a tenure of 6 months.
So, if you to take admission in an institute considering your future with an average package of 10 LPA, then it must be noted that the student strength and competition in PEC are less than NIT Kurukshetra.
