Iiser kolkata have an impressive infrastructure that seamlessly blends morden facilities with aesthetic design
Sports facilities are top notch the campus is designed to promote healty relationship between sports and studies
The library is a highlight offering an extrnsive collection of books journals and digital resources

Dislikes

The department of biolopgy is maybe not that good
We face funding issues every year weather its sports or eca
No on campus placement option so cant say much about placement

The curriculum's structure from foundation concepts to advanced applications was a key factor in choosing this course the inclusion of hands on projects and case studies indicated a practical approach to learning additionally the variety of electives allowed for customization to align with personal career goals

we do not have internship offers from companies its mainly labs since its a research institute and allover the internships oppurtinites are really good the process is reallys smooth a lot of people even get internship abroad

Fees and Financial Aid

honestly the tution fees is not that high for reserved catagories its almost 10-12k per semester for general that number goes to 50k per semester.our institute offers a lot of scolarship options depenidng on a lot of things eg. board exam marks

Campus Life

campus life is the best the freedom you get here is just too good almost everything is open 24*7 including hostels sports grounds ECA rooms the tech in labs are really upto date providng an all over smooth experience

Admission

there are 3 ways of getting into iiser jee aadvance iat and kvpy all having different difficulties you must have 75% or above in class 12 boards there are ofcourse reservation for sc/st and obc.in both boards and iat jee adv and kvpy

Life at IIT Kharagpur

Placement Experience:

Placements in the campus are good. Most of the tech companies allow all the branches to sit for the tests. Eligibility criterial for many companies is around 7 CGPA. The average package is around 15 LPA. 90%of registered students get placed

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course for the first year is easy overall , maybe challenging for biology students because involvement of Maths in the curriculum but they can decrease their load by practicing Maths problems, asking doubts, approaching the instructors or their personal mentors. Otherwise the course is mixed in a good way with theoretical and practical part. Labs are conducted of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and CS in first year. You can choose CS as an minor in higher classes.

IIT Kharagpur - The dream college of JEE Aspirants | Detailed and Comprehensive Review

Placement Experience:

Campus Placement season starts here in IIT Kharagpur in the end of the pre-final semester or the fisrt semester of the final year. Companies start visiting the campus in the month of December every year for Phase 1, and in January for Phase 2. Top Product based companies like - Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, Netflix, Uber, Zomato etc..come for placements and give high CTC like 40 LPA and even above for Software profiles. There are various profiles available in companies coming for placements - software, Data, machine Learning, Finance, Product, consulting, UI/UX designing and so on. Almost 80 % students get placed in our college every year and number of offers is as close as 1800 every year. Many students get pre-placement offers as well, after the completion of their internships and they are not eligible for placements. I am planning to sit for palcements this year and aiming for software, data analysis, consulting and UI/UX designing roles.

The placement in Our college is quite good.Normally around 80% of the people get placed through CDC which is the on campus organisation that connects students with companies.The placement cell even provides some foreign internships and jobs due to immense amount of connections they have around the world.They even conduct workshops to help the students know about the industry and acquire soft skills which are needed to get placed.

Placement Experience:

In the final year, a student is eligible for campus placements, 75% of the registered students are placed and the others have to go for off campus placements. also here if you are in a good branch, you will get good package otherwise, you will get w=very low package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was preparing for the medical exam in 2014-2016, i appeared in 2016 AIPMT exam 2016, but did not get better college and so i heard about IISER exam that we can we go for higher study from here. i was interested that i can go to the medical research after completing my degree from IISER. yes we can go to ICMR and research field in any department if you have qualified from IISER with your dedication. you can go foreign for higher study like Phd. There shoud be more laboratry so that it easy for individual practices. The exam taken in IISER is semester wise with fraction like mid sem and end sem. with the perfect schedule. The exam of IISER is good level in each deparments.

The students need to qualify 12th exam from first class you can search the for latest criteria for appear for the exam.I got application form from cyber cafe near my room in patna. as i had no cell phone that time. Generally the application form released in the may first week and the exam conducted in the june month and after that counselling happend on the basis of AIR. In Previous year IISER selection was by three modes, IISER Aptitude test, JEE Advanced rank, KVPY. But now only one mode is happening only by IISER test rank. if you are interested to take admission in IISERs so keep prepared at NEET and JEE level question. you will have to study PCMB for good rank. you cant get good rank by either PCM or PCB....Read More
