NIFFT is one of the oldest institutes providing manufacturing courses and has the best and finest laboratory facilities in metallurgy and materials such as Sand Lab, Metallographic Lab, FMS Lab, Non-Destructive and Mechanical Testing Lab, Spectroscopy, etc.
I received an internship opportunity from Ramakrishna Forging Ltd, which was offered to the top 15 students as well as all the other students.

Dislikes

Badminton is played by some students inside the hostel, and there is also a gymkhana here. However, it is not open at any time due to its bad condition.
In our college, the faculty is very helpful for the students. However, the mess and food system and quality here are poor. Many students complain every time, but no actions are taken, so the mess is very bad.

The most interesting thing about my college is its placement which is quite good and i liked it the most
Campus is very beautiful but small and have a good greenry around

Dislikes

The thing i disliked most is the sport club which is there but not much active
Maintenance work in library is slow but is improving day by day

After 6 semester student are eligible bor campus placement. Last year companies like jsw and vedanta were mass recruiter and they recruited around 50 students together offering highest placement of14 lpa and average around 7.5lpa . Around 100 percent of student of final year student got placed

the environment of ranchi is good so you can live in the nature lives
class size is less so you can easily interect with proffesors and clear your doubt

Dislikes

the size of campus is less its only 65 acres and only one playground in which we can play football and cricket
canteen is not available in college so we have to go outside even for tea

Course Curriculum Overview:

now course curriculum is according to National Education Policy and it is good but there is some subjects they included like biology in 2nd semester according to NEP the exams are divided into two parts internal and final exam internal includes 30 marks in which exam is of 20 marks and 10 marks is of assignment and attendence

Placement Experience:

Overall the placement of the College is good for the branch of MME AND ME . And the two other branch are add in the previous year (2022). Almost 95% Students are placed and remaining are go for the higher studies

Hostel facilities are very good for the fee allocated
One of the great colleges for those who would like to excel in the fields of Metallurgy, foundry technology or material sciences

Dislikes

Sports facilities have to improve in the college. Basket ball court is not yet installed
Clubs have scope for improvement in various fields

Placement Experience:

From the 6th or 7th semester students start sitting for placements. Placements are quite good considering the initial fee investment. Barring a few, almost all the students get placed in core companies. Average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs. Highest can go upto 15 to 16 lakhs. For the computer and production and industrial engineering branches, the first batch has not yet passed out. So the placement details have to await.

Faculties are very supportive and they helps in every situation

Placement Experience:

Placement percentage os very god. Almost each students gets placed before the complition of final examination. Some of the reputed and well known companies comes for placement like Tata, Vedanta, JSW and many small scale companies also comes for placement. So of someone is average in study he Must get placed.

Hostel and mess facilities is much more better than any other govt. College
Our college organize many technical and cultural events frequently .This year our college first time organize internal hackathon . And My team also selected for Smart india hackathon 2023 grand finale .

Dislikes

Our branch doesn't have any Proffesor related to Computer Science .

Placement Experience:

Our branch is new so it has no placement records till now . But other branches like mechanical and metallurgy have nice placement records . Metallurgy branch has a highest package of 18 lpa and avg package of 11 lpa . Many Core companies like Vedanta , Tata , Suzuki , Jsw Steel etc visit our campus for placements.

Placements are really good with a above average package in Metallurgy compared to other Government funded institutes in core and even many national institutes .
There is a 100% placement record and well infrastructure.

Dislikes

The indoor badminton court and sports items to be brought by students .
The process takes longer to get the results.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements from the 7th-semester beginning. The campus offers pre-placements from the 5th semester. The major recruiters are Vedanta around 12-15 members, JSW around 15-18 members, Maruthi Suzuki around 10-11 members, TAFE 5-6 members, Linamar 9-10 members, Sona Comster 5-6 members, Barath Forge 5-6 members, Sriram Piston and Rings 1-5 members etc. Metallurgy has a placement record of 100%. The highest in metallurgy is 14LPA The average Package is around 9.5 LPA. I am personally planning to take placement.

Hostels are very good and wifi is provided in the hostels
Faculties are very much helpful and always ready to help students in all situations.

Dislikes

Campus is decent not very large like Nits or Iits.
Library is not very big and not contains extra books.

Placement Experience:

Many core companies visit in the college for campus placements and provide decent package in the core branches mechanical engineering and metallurgy and materials engineering .Companies like vedanta , tata metallics ,jsw etc visits for campus placement.Almost 100 percent students get placed. The average package was 5 lpa which increased to 9lpa this year.

First thing I like it's hostel it is too good
And its labs and workshop which had too good machines

Dislikes

It is not autonomous, affiliated to JUT and have to follow JUT rules

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placement. Companies like Vedanta, jsw, Tata Motors, and Tata Steal visit the campus. Vedanta offers the highest package 14 LPA and an average 9 LPA. 100% of students get selected from the past few years.
