- The best thing about the college is the exposure to the newcomers it provides whether it is in field of social interaction or industrial.
- The professors are highly skilled and easy to reach.
Dislikes
- The non-flexibility and difficulty in non-adaptability of the curriculum.
- Lack of basic sports facilities and hygiene is also a problem.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is not much effective for learning practical aspects of engineering with some idle courses are introduced in between the semesters which are very difficult and sometimes impossible for some students to cope-up with.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship opportunities are limited here with major companies are Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, Qualcomm, Google, Tata projects, TCL, L & T, ITC etc. The stipends provided are quite handsome. Although there are very less opportunities for internships in civil, mechanical, MME, biotech branches.
Placement Experience :
The placements are very good for branches like CSE, ECE, EEE but not much for non-tech branches like Biotech, MME, Civil. There are not much placement/internship opportunities in core for non-tech branches. Also the average package for tech branches is around 20LPA & for non-tech branches, it is around 7LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tution fee is same as per other NITs but the annual increment in hostel fee is random while the betterment in facilities is not visible. The scholarship provided is very less and solely depends upon your CGPA. The complete course fee for 4 years can be estimated as 10 Lakhs (General).
Campus Life :
The campus life is good but needs improvement. The major fests include Spring-spree, Technozion, Youth fest. The lack of sport facilities and activities are there. The clubs are the best things and are only things for enhancement of social interactions but from last year, the new director has limited their activity and recruiting process by introducing CGPA as the only qualifying factor.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facilities are excellent for female students but not very appreciable for male candidates. The boys hostels are very small, unhygienic and congested. The meal quality is very bad and the concerned authorities constantly ignores the complaints. The mess conditions are very pathetic.
Admission :
The admission process consists of two stages : allotment of college through JoSAA and process of admission in the alloted college. The cut-off was around 14k-20k (General) for the civil branch. The process was smooth and free of any discrepencies.
Faculty :
The faculties are well-qualified and skilled but some of them are lacking passion for teaching while others are very strict for their methodologies whereas some are not easily approachable. If you are a local student (Telugu) then you can interact with ease but for an outsider, it is very difficult to approach.
