My life in SSC

Dislikes

  • Staffs are not extremely rude and uncultured and often would put the students in uncomfortable situations.
  • Placements are really bad for the entire BA department.Actually Shri Shikshayatan College is known for B.Com or BBA de

Course Curriculum Overview :

From the beginning I was drawn towards studying something unique and effective in towards world. I am not disrespecting other subjects just I wanted to write and make the world aware of the darkness that surrounds the other side of the world that all people will eventually ignores. Journalism and Mass communication is a broad and beautiful subject ,as it consists of many aspects as radio television advertising Pr sectors and many more

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college charge 36000 at the beginning of the session and the next semester it's 30800 and I had learned that during 4 th and 5 th semester the price will increase but compared to other private college its fees is comparatively less ( except Asutosh College). There are scholarships but I am sorry I am not aware of them and according to campus employment I don't think there can be any but I am not aware of that

Campus Life :

In this college you will get to experience some College life but please don't expect Karan Johar's idealisation of college then you will be disappointed. But there are Shree which is the cultural and social program of SSC during Dussehra. There is not fear in this college and the famous ground area of SSC can be used by students after the school hours. During the school hours there are some restrictions as the college building is being shared by the school building. Sometimes you will feel nostalgic by looking at the students in school wearing

Admission :

There is no entrance exam for getting in to Shri Shikshayatan College for BA or BSC or BBA program. But there an eligibility that you need to pass class 10 and 12 after acquiring 80 percentage it's advisable to check the website for any such further information.

Faculty :

The faculty for BA journalism and mass communication is extremely good. There are three professors and two of them are ph.d holders. The most important aspect is that they teach extremely well and are well versed according to our syllabus and standards and are extremely helpful as we all in our 1st year really confused and they helped us and guided us well. The teachers are approachable in nature and maintain a good relationship with their students and are there to help them in terms of academic.

Course Curriculum Overview:

After completing my intermediate I got a very interest in the journalism field so I decided to choose this Course as a Carrier option. Mass Communication helped me to improve my communication skills with proper dignity and Discipline manner and also encouraged me to speak as a speaker in the crowd. Generally Internal and Final exams occurred in every semester and the Academic pressure is not so much.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course turned out to be very interesting and as a student who is interested in practical activities, it has helped me to explore parts of me that I was unaware of earlier. Due to my interest in writing this course was extremely helpful for me and it gave me a chance to figure out and sharpen my skills. The college consists of about 600 students and 40-50 faculty members. Mass Communication particularly had 4 faculty members and 15 students in one semester. The faculty members have all completed their respective masters and almost all are pursuing either Ph.D. or higher education. The exams were held twice every 6 months, one from the college- internal examinations and the other one by the university- board examinations. It was from the syllabus itself so it was not as difficult however the university exams did take it a step ahead and made it difficult for the students at times.

Its the best college in kolkata according to my eyes. Once you come to Asutosh, you leave with a family. I will never stop thanking my college for whatever it has given to me.

Remarks:

Every college has its own good and bad side. And asutosh is my college I don't think I will give much negative remarks about my own college. But I think they should be more attentive towards practical works and internship because now-a-days field experience and certificate matters the most.

Remarks:

The positive point if that the faculty members are good and helpful. The infrastructure is the best they could provide,be it labs or canteen. The activities are great too. The negative point is that they are very unpredictable with the exam dates or holiday dates, one cant plan well because of it.Also, they should provide food for the hostel students.
