Playing sports with friends, like recently we'e to inter-iit which is used to held every year and it was really amazing.

Probably I don't have much things to dislike here but still I find lot of difficulties which conveying anything to an odia people.
In our mess, there is not any separate column for vegetarians.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Basically I belong to Jharkhand and there I saw many huge coal mines and steel plants. So as I grew up I came to know that we are continuously dependent on non-renewable sources and so I chose Materials Engineering so that as an engineer I can create new ways for renewable sources. My course is quite good in this college and the curriculum is very much intact. Exams also happen in a regular manner.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 300000 per year

Placement Experience :

IITs offer a very good package actually. Being a second generation IIT, our college is growing day by day and our professors are working very hard to improve the placement activities. Although it is not that much bad. Average package in our college is more than 10 lakhs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

According to my point of view, tuition fee in IITs is decent i.e. not very high like some private engineering colleges and also not very low like government medical colleges. For me I need to pay around 12 lakhs for 4 years. Belonging to a family having annual income less than 2 lakhs I found very much difficult to pay 12 lakhs so I've taken student loan and this is a good thing that getting loans in IITs is very easy.

Campus Life :

My campus life in IIT Bhubaneswar is going very well. I used to spent a lot of time with friends and my colleagues. I've friends from all parts of India. Although we have a very high academics but still our college brings lots of opportunities for our career development. We've a very good infrastructure. Classrooms have centralised AC and we get single occupancy rooms in hostel.

Hostel Facilities :

Apart from all the things hostel facility is little bit not good in our campus. The mess caterers are good enough, they provide us different kinds of foods everyday but few times we encounter insects and caterpillars in pur mess food. But on a gentle note our mess workers are very helpful.

Hostel Fee : INR 18000 per year

Admission :

Basically first we've to clear jee mains and the jee advanced. In jee advanced I've got 15798 crl and so in the 6th round of JOSSA counseling I've got IIT Bhubaneswar and my branch here is Minerals, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.

My perspective, through the University experience

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is decent but since the number of students enrolled in a course is relatively high, one really need to work hard if they aim at getting placed at a really good package. It is necessary to keep in head that since competition is high due to huge population of students, you need to consistently give your best and do extra courses side by side.

From the first year onwards you can get a paid internship. If you have skills you can get an internship by yourself. From the 5th-6th semester, you can get campus internships from companies like tech Mahindra, boutique many more. Yes our college do gives campus placements. From the 7th semester students get campus placements.
