Experiencing the life at Dream College

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is pretty well designed for those who would love to explore core and also not much hectic and managing other things like coding and fests is pretty doable. Most of the professor are chill regarding attendance. Exams are frequent but still managable.

Internships Opportunities :

Lots of companies come for intern students in all domains like SDE, Data analyst, finance, core. all big companies that u dream for will come and give opportuniy. u just need to grab it. clubs provides the required knowledge and projects to crack these. Just work hard and keep intereacting with seniors and u will definitely end up with an internship. U can also do research intern under any professor if u want.

Placement Experience :

In Btech, 4th year students can sit for placements in 7th semester. Placement is what IITs are known for. Our college stands out in placement as compared to others. But is still weaker than those old six IITs. But still there are lot of opportunites in all domains. We get chances to explore any domain we want and each has quite a lot opportunities. Stats for top branches like CSE, MNC and ECE is really good. From not circuital, the opportunites are there and stats are relativily less but still good enough. Last year highest package was around 2.4 cr and average goes around like 18lakhs. Percentage placed is around 88%.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are 2 semester in a year each of 1 lakh tution fee and around 40 thousand hostel fee which is pretty decent compared to other colleges. As such you cant earn directly in campus but if you are good at a skill u can do freelancing or go for any govt scholarship exams if u like.

Campus Life :

Campus life is pretty chill. Campus has lots of lakes and beautiful spots to take a break with friends and there is very little restricitions. Majorly 3 fests - Techniche (Technical fest in september), Udgam (Enterpreneurship fest in January), and Alcheringa (Cultural fest March). Library is my favourite part. It has a really good environment to study and is fully air conditioned which helps a lot during summer. There are a ton of books and issuing system is pretty simple and quick. Classrooms are clean and has everything needed for a good session. Sports Culture is too good. There is inter hostel sports competition called spardha and also compulsary sports course in 1st and 2nd year. Clubs are also pretty organised and members enjoy a lot. They have work to do and make sure that student isnt sitting idle. Overall the life is balanced with both fun and studies.

Hostel Facilities :

Rooms for 1st and 2nd year Btech student are doubly occupied in the room which was meant for 1 person. So its really small. But the wifi in rooms and cleaning system compensates for it. Mess is good in my Hostel(Brahmaputra) but some mess are not rated well. But there is always a mess change option thus u can go whichever mess u want. Hostel fees is quite reasonable. There are libraries and canteens in hostel which are open till late night for students. There are many wahsrooms and washing machine making sure our life is easy.

Admission :

Appear for JEE Mains (conducted by NTA )and JEE Advanced and find the dates and register using their official websites. Eligibility Criteria is above 75% in class 12th. I didnt clear in my class 12 year so had to take a year drop but it did change my life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've been enthusiastic about exploring more about software and programming which influenced me to choose the course of Computer Science Engineering. With further development of artificial intelligence, it opens up better learning and job opportunities for students. In my university, computer science is taught by experienced teachers and faculty but it would be better if they were more inclusive of certain topics which are extremely important for the students and raising the level of teaching including practical learning and understanding and also examining the student's capability is one of the aspects to be included.

To be honest, placements were dissapointing however it is getting better day by day. The major hindrance is the location factor but TnP cell works very hard to bring companies and to provide students with equal opportunities.
