Vibrant culture of campus gives platform for overall development and personality building. placements are also impressive in past few years.
campus size is large and almost all facility like atm dispensary etc are available within the campus.

attendance criteria is horrible and one of the major drawback of Nit rourkela. There is attendance criteria of 85% in a semester which is compulsory for any student.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is similar to other nits. One can check the same on nitrkl.ac.in website. The relevancy of course is not as per current industry requirement. Curriculum is still following the old technology which is not as per latest trend.

Placement Experience :

Placements are good specially talking about circuital and cse branches it is better. a good no. of companies visit the campus for placement avg ctc is around 13 lpa. companies like microsoft amazon flipkart texas instruments qualcum visit the campus

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

several schorships scheme is run by private bodies as well as government of India. One can bearup the fee by taking the loan. The loan process is quite smooth in campus branch. one can check the fee structure on nitrkl.ac.in web site. genrally it varies between 1 lakh for general category student per student. Other sc/st /ews candidate can get upto full scholorship on tution fee which is Rs62500 per year.

Campus Life :

Nit rourkela is one of the top nits of country and well known for its vibrant culture. There are 4 major event in a academic year. Innovision(technical fest), Vridhi (sports fest) , Cosmo(cultural fest), and last but not the least Nitrutsav (multiethenic fest). apart from that several events like celibrity night and all are also there

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel are good generally betech student get double occupancy rooms. they are not top notch but one can adjust. Meals are good and compared to other nits its is better. One can get 4 days nonveg in a week.

Hostel Fee : INR 70000 per year

Admission :

The admission process is generally through Jee Mains exam exam for Indian student. For foreign student diffferent programs are run by Government. The exam is conducted twice a year. Generally in month of January and in month of April. The aplication forms are available generally in month december. The exam is conducted by NTA which is official exam conducting body of GOI. The cutoff for Nit Rourkela is quite high because it is one of top Nits

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

KIIT- The Real Truth Of College

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is similar to all the colleges. but the extra curricular facilities provided by the college, differen societies present in differen domain will help you in growing your skills and knowledge in your sector. College keep organising tech fest, alumini meet, and global awareness meeting to keep the students up to date with present world. Course curriculum can be improved, I personally think, many new elective subjects are added which are not beneficial for my stream CSE.And the attendace is very compulsury for getting ood marks. Smart Boards and White Board teaching ares used which depends on teacher's choice. There is normally two exams in a semester , midsem of 20 marks in time 1hr 30 min, and endsem exam of 50 marks in 3 hr, and the rest marks depend on subject faculty. Mostly examination level is normal , if you are good student you can cover the syllabus in 1 week before exam.

Good facilities that needs to be grabbed.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario for now it not that good. There is regression going on so the companies aren't taking that many students. From the 3rd year you are eligible for placements. 450 companies came this year for placements making 5200 job offers. The highest placement this year was 63 lacs by Yugabyte. Average CTC is 8.5 lacs in all streams. Mass recruiters like Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Mindtree, Bosch, Ericsson, IBM etc. Many other notable companies that visited are Bain & Company, CME group, DE shaw & co, JP Morgan Chase etc. According to kiit website, 90% students are placed. 2100 students also got internships via capstone route. My plans after getting the degree is to do a job for some years and then after getting some experience I want to do a startup.
