NITR- A SUPPORT FOR YOUR CAREER GROWTH

Dislikes

  • Work culture, placement scenario, practical knowledge

Course Curriculum Overview :

It was good for most of the cases, but felt difficult in some subjects and especially some topics like Surface Plasmon Resonance, etc. I felt subjects like AHT, and labs for ANSYS, ASPEN could've been better

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For BTech, if your family income is less than 5 lpa, your tuition fee will be deducted completely, for MTech, as they'll get stipend of 12400 per month, a fee of around 320000 for 4 semesters was like acceptable,

Campus Life :

NIT, ROURKELA, a perfect place for your future career growth, it was like a ground stone for your career building, Infrastructure is top-notch , sports, swimming pool, gym, hostels, library etc were cleanly maintained throughout the year

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel fee was 5K for a room(2 shared) per semester, which is too good, electricity bill wad good, mess was around 34K per semester, it increases this year, was a real concern. Food quality was good, you'll get non-veg 8-10 times a week ????

Admission :

I had applied for GATE examination after my Under Graduate BTech in Chemical Engineering from ANDHRA UNIVERSITY, after qualifying the exam, you've to enroll for ccmt to get to NITs(COAP) for IITs, and thereby rounds of counselling will happen

Other Applied Colleges

NIT TIRUCHIRAPALLI, NIT WARANGAL, NIT CALICUT, IITG,IITD,IITK,IITR,IITH | MTech

For Chemical, I think NITR is better

Placement Experience:

100 percentage placement this year 2024 and previous one (2023). Highest package is in CSE department and in our department 13lpa is highest and avarage package is 10 lpa. So pretty good to join here. My plans to persue PHD after this.

Placement Experience:

Placements in IIT Bhubaneswar are decent enough. In SMMME, companies like applied materials are frequent recruiters. Professors help to get placed in companies like tata steel and other such metallurgical companies through their excellent network and references.

Placement Experience:

The institute being a premier ones boasts a good amount of placement. Almost every year it provides more than 85% placement for all the branches and 100% of selective branches too. The companies where the students are placed are also reputed ones and get well paid jobs

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course was easy for most of the cases or times, but felt some difficulties in some subjects like NANO, topics like surface plasmon resonance, etc. Timings are good and feasible, you'll get a lot of free time for whatever you want to do.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I believed there was a good future for the EE which inspired me to apply for this course. When Our faculty focuses on subject they would also teach us along with the real time benefits.Difficulty of the exam varies with corresponding subject and respective faculty with mid sem and end sem exams at 2months

Course Curriculum Overview:

I must say the curriculum is relevant to the course here for mtech cse. All the different subjects hold its own importance according to the course. But I didn't like the teaching methods of faculties here. Sometimes it feels like PPT presentation class. There are two exams in one semester. Mid Sem Exam and End Sem Exam and they both are pretty much normal not too difficult.

Remarks:

College management is quite helpful and student friendly. One is never harassed by college management. All the Deans are very polite and ever ready to solve students problem. The only lacuna is that being a college of 60 years old, the infrastructure is not that huge that one expected it to be. At last, I won't say that it is the best college to study engineering, but will definitely say that its a good place to study and one won't regret it.
