Course Curriculum Overview :
In the Electronics and communications department, there are two or three courses in electrical every semester. Some Fundamental of finance are also taught during the second and the third years. And all the other courses are same with students of electronics and electrical engineering.so after graduation, you can pursue electrical for higher studies or get into an IT job.Classes are held for 3-4 hours a day if there is any lab it will be 3 hours. Since most of the students in the courses are top rankere at JEE there is tough competition for grades otherwise the courses offered are interesting,if you love electrical otherwise it is not suggested to take this course.i would rate this course 6 out of 10
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For general and OBC category students it is approximately 1,50,000 per semester including Everything. But if they have less family income, their tution fees is not required only the hostel and mess will be taken .The same goes for ST/SC students there are no tution fees.IITs offer several scholarships. Some scholarships include Merit-cum-Means scholarships (MCM),Free messing, and pocket allowances
Campus Life :
There are inter-IIT meets every where students can participate in sports, dance, tech etc. There are many festivals held every year.some are Alcheringa annual cultural festival held in February or March.
Admission :
The admission to IITG for B.Tech courses involves applying through the official website of the National Testing Agency(NTA) for JEE Main and JEE advanced exams. As an ST category student, secured admission with ST Rank 230 in JEE advanced. The Application fees were Rs.500 and Rs 1600 for Mains and advanced respectively.JEE Mains had two attempts during my application period,JEE advanced had two papers on a single day for 3 hours each with exams typically held in the first half of the year
