  • The curriculum is not easy. There are too many exams and assignment along with lab work.
  • The clubs are mostly inactive. Only few clubs are good and do work

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course gives the basic understanding of electrical and electronics engineering. New courses where introduced like python, verilog along with DSA and C++ which where already present to enchance our knowledge. The college introduces new methods of evaluation of student and also has a continous evaluation system. For my batch we have Minor 1, Mid, Minor 2, End sem exam. Exams are of good level in which we have to score 40% in end sem while getting 34 out of 100. Also there is 80% attendence senario which is implemented. Teaching methods include both black board methode and smart boards or projector method. There may be some online class as well. Few teachers are able to keep the class intresting while few cannot.

Internships Opportunities :

About 30-40 companies visit for internship among which areITC with 2.25lakh per month stipend, De Shaw 1.5lakh stipend Microsoft, Salesforce with 1 lakh per month stipend, Texas Instument with 90000 stipend, Tata projects with 25000 per month stipend, Samsung with 70000 per month stipend,Nvdia with 1lakh stipend per month. Most companies are for SWE role few companies are for hardware roles.

Placement Experience :

NITW is among the best when placement is considered. With and highest package of 88lpa ctc. All student without and backlogs are eligible for placements. Last year about 300 companies visited our college. Last year more than 1400 student got placed with average package of 17lpa. About 85% students get placed. This us because some students are not eligible and rest go for CAT,UPSC, GATE, or higher studies. I plan to get a job after my degree. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, AWS,D Shaw, Adobe, Oracle, TATA, Reliance,Adani, Vedanta,GAIL, BPCL,NVDIA, ITC, Unilever, Micron, etc come in placement drive.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution fee: 62500 per sem Hostel fee: 14000 per sem Maintainence fee: 10000sem Scholarship : 0 fee for people with income below 100000 and one third fee for people with income below 500000. Mess charge: 115 per day Other Scholarships can be availed for the NSP site. There are fee remissions for merit student.

Campus Life :

There are two fests in the college- Spring spree-cultural fest organised in 1st week of April Technozion-Tech fest There are more than 25 clubs in the college among which only few are active. There are societies as well. There is a national library in the college where you can find most of the books you need and we have RFID cards through which issuing books takes seconds. Classes have projectors and green boards with proper lighting and fans. Power is there for 24 hours, it is only cut during maintenance that too will be announced. There are gyms in hostels(male as well as female) as well as in physical education department. There are bedminton, tennis, table tennis, basketball, football, cricket courts and ground. There is a yoga room. Labs are also decent with few ineffective meters Food court is present, where students can eat other than mess.

Hostel Facilities :

For 1st year 2 students are accomodated in a room with proper lighting and fan. Internet is provided through LAN cables present in each room. Bed and cubboard is provided. Lifts are there as well. Water coller facility is there. Hostel registration is simple and is online. For rented room the rent is about 6000 per month and you have to take permission to be aday scholar which is only given to local student. IFS is there for DASA hostel with attached batroom in each room. Regular hostels also have enough bathroom.

Admission :

Eligibilty: Anyone who has qualified JEE Main Details : JOSAA sites release the application form, and other details like dates and counselling details in there brochure. Reservation:Is present for EWS, OBC, SC, ST, details regarding this like paper to be submitted and different declaration form are also released by JOSAA in the brochure. Frequency: During 2021 Jee was conducted 4 times and the difficulty was moderate which depended on the shift. There where 8 paper conducted for 4 days in 2 shifts per day from 9am to 12am and 2pm to 5pm. I didnot find any problem with admission with went smoothly and on time. The only changes that I would suggest is the site should be improved as it was very slow. Cutoff: In order to get EEE in NITW, your AIR rank should be below 8000.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was quite disappointed with the cirriculum that has been designed. Its not at all tailored to teach you the approaches for solving the real world problems . The cirriculum is atleast 10 years behind. The same old things are taught. Talking about exams, they are conducted for every quarter of a semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Choosing this college was done when I was in my Intermediate, I was attracted to the Courses & mainly towards a BS Degree. We have Regular classes along with a Digital Teaching system. & most of the assignments are activity based which helps in gaining practical & theoretical based Knowledge. The teaching faculty are really good, and most of them are down to earth. Along with us, Our teachers also work hard, they train us in the best way they can. We can openly discuss our doubts, or topics, which we feel hard or unable to understand, etc. By working hard, we can easily pass the term exams, without great difficulty.
