Course Curriculum Overview :
Curriculum of the course is very dynamic and it gives opportunity to gain practical knowledge of different departments also like Biotechnology and Management. The courses offered are very relevant to the industry and the practicality is also engraved in the course structure. In NIT warangal they follow a continuous evaluation process for the acedmic results. There are mainly 2 exams 1) Mid exam that is of 30 marks 2) End exam that is for 40 marks, the rest 30 marks depend on the faculty of the respective courses. It is their choice how they are going to evaluate for the 30 marks throughout the semester. There may be some minor exams, power point presentation or some surprise tests.
Internships Opportunities :
For my branch that is civil department, we have basically very few and limited opportunities for internship. Most of them are Government or public organization, whereas Other branches have more opportunities for the internship and various companies visit for campus internship.
Placement Experience :
This is the most good part of this college. Placements are very good here for the CSE and other Circuital branches Placement are very good. Coming to the core branches they are a bit tough like everywhere else I'm from M.tech Environmental Engineering (civil department) Our batch strength is 28 . I'm writing this review on 22nd March, my senior batch (22-24) they also have same strength i.e 28. Out of 28 , 18 have been placed till date with av package of around 6.5 lpa which is a normal package which you can even expect from some good IITs (I'm not talking about bombay, Madras, kgp, Roorkee) . So Placements are really nice here and you will be exposed to various opportunities for your career growth irrespective of your branch. There are also various workshops and clubs which support entrepreneurship.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In recent years tution fee has increased nearly double and the stipend amount is same as 12400-/ per month. Overall with the stipend amount either you could pay the college fee including rent charges or you could spend them for your living expenses like food and your personal requirements.
Campus Life :
Campus life is not so good here. Our new director is also very strict in terms of discipline and a bit conservative. We don't have any night life here. Students are not permitted to leave the Campus after 10 o'clock in night. For girls they have to be in hostel before 11 o'clock in night. They strictly have PDA (Public display of affection) policy inside the campus. Coming to the clubs and social groups they are somewaht okay-okay. There are various clubs but very limited area and time to perform and explore. And about the tech and culture festival there is not so much of enthusiastic climate because of the strict policies of the campus.
Hostel Facilities :
Shared rooms are provided in hostels; for M.tech 1st year at least they get two occupancy room but for the B.tech they are providing single occupancy room with 2 peoples. In terms of cleanliness they are okay, not so good. Coming to the mess, For the taste I would rate them 6.5/10 ; For cleanliness 7/10 ; Food Options 5.5/10 . The food is not so good here, enough to stay alive They Charge @ 115 per day and you have to pay for 15 days at least in advance. If you are taking admission here you are most likely to get Hostel accommodation.
Admission :
Qualication for the course isB.tech in Civil/Mechanical Engineering. Admission via valid gate score. Gate is conducted once a year by IITs and IISc. Some seats are reseved for Obc and Sc/St candidates also for Ews and Pwd
