Course Curriculum Overview :

actually to be very frank , i just chose the course on the basis on my rank and now i have developed the interest after choosing this course . Our entire curriculum is fully connected to real world problems and the course helps me to visualize all the things which is taught solves the problem of the real world and also there are labs where all the things are done practically . Some courses are there which I think would not help in the mere future but then also it is taught is in the class .Teachers now don't solve much problems in the class ,even the interaction between the student and teachers is not good . First ct1 is held after some syllabus and then ct 2 after 1 month is held and then finally end sem is held at the end . The difficulty vary from course to course and also it depends on the teachers .some prof give exact pyq and some set really hard but in general if you are attentive then you can solve the problem very easily.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

the academic fees structure is 60,000 for first six month and it is almost the same after every semester. The hostel and mess fees for one academic year seems to be around 40,000 . Here there are fees waviers for the students who is not economically sound to pay the fees are given like the students whose parents income is less than 100000 annually are given full fees wavier in the academic fees and whose income is between 1 to 5 lack are allowed to give only 1/3 of the fees .Various scholarship also which they can fill and get the scholarship and one of my senior read the entire btech in free due to scholarship and fee wavier . Campus also employment opportunities like you can help in some of the projects and you can get money , you can also do research intern , On campus internship comes regularly and you can crack and get employed . Various tech giants and fang companies comes every year to select the best and give them placement and internship .

Campus Life :

The campus life is pretty chill and there are hell lot of stuff to explore, various sports facilities ,various cultural programs ,technical events like pragyan held in february are held every year and you can become the part of it .Also festember is held every where some chief guest is invited There are around lakh of books in the library but I think it is not of any use in the technical world , but you can easily issue the book for a certain time period . The classrooms are well equipped with smart classes but we are not allowed to take our laptops to class There are seperate grouds for each and every sports and if you interest in the particular sports then you can be the memeber of it and can represent your college studens reun various social groups where everything is discussed like everything what is happening is fine or not .

Admission :

admission processs first started with the jossa councelling and then i chose the desired college college and on the basis of my marks and percentile .After the jossa councelling i went to the college site for the admission process, submitted all the documents and then for final approval went to the college . I gave the jee exam and it has two stages like jee mains and jee advanced it is conducted twice , one is the month of january and other in the month of march .jee mains time slot is morning 9 to 12 and other in the evening 2 to 5 .The difficulty of this exam is less compared to jee advanced and after qualifying the jee mains only you are allowed to give the jee advanced which is highly difficult . The process of admission is quite time taking and hectic . also they charge a hell amount of money in the starting and the parents who don't have the money are forced to arrange the anyhow to deposit the money , also many certificates is asked which i thing is not at all beneficial .

There were more than 100 companies opting to get people from our college. Infosys, CTS, TCS and many other companies and the campus drive takes place at almost for 2 to 3 months. There will be even heavy competition between companies who's gonna recruit first. There are options if you are not interested in placements too

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
