  • We don't have a permanent campus.I wish we had one

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am interested in computer Science engineering.so I chose CSE branch. The faculty: student ratio is 1:8.The faculty members hold a PHD qualification. The method of teaching of the faculty is very good. Each semester includes both mid semester and end semester examinations

Internships Opportunities :

Summer internships:These internships will be maximum of 3 months Long-term internships: These internships last from January to June and offer valuable experience and potential job opportunities. B. Tech. students participate in these internships during their 7th semester.

Placement Experience :

From 7th and 8th semester students become eligible for campus placements.Highest package offered in 2023 was INR 60LPA.Percentage of students getting placements was 99%.My plans after getting the degree is getting into a job.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees structure: Tuition fee:INR100000 per semester .Additionally ,expenses for Hostel accommodation ,mess facilities and other expenses amount to approximately INR40000.The total fee for each semester is approximately INR140000

Campus Life :

We have an annual cultural fest called Cultrang and an annual technical fest called Cepheus. There are many clubs run by students, including Gomyno (a coding club), Archi Techs, Meraki, and the Varaha Climate Community. We also have a library, and the amenities in classrooms are good. There are sports facilities on campus.

Hostel Facilities :

The facilities in the room were good,Two members per room. The mess food was good. There is a fixed menu for a week which has different food items and will be followed every week. Registration process for Hostel will be done when we admit into college.

Admission :

The admission process for IIT Goa is conducted through JOSAA counselling, which requires qualification in both the JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED exams. To get into IIT Goa through this counselling is based on performance in JEE ADVANCED exam, and the cutoff varies annually

Placement Experience:

The placement at my college are decent. Students from Computer and IT department easily get placed at a company. The companies that frequently visit Goa engineering college are persistent, one shield, Infosys, tcs , Wipro etc . Each year there are around 300 offers received in the entire college. The highest package a student has got is 15lakhs per annum from TurtleShell. The average package is 6 LPA. Around 50% od the students get placed. I wish to work at a product based tech company after my graduation.

Placement Experience:

Final students are eligible for placements. Companies such as turtle mint, findem, Nokia, IFB, Samsung, Adani power, HDFC Bank, Tesco, Upskill, ONGC, Jio, and many more. Last year almost everyone got placed. Average package is 10 LPA. This year though placements were not as expected because of economic depression. Even after the placements, lay offs have become common. Hence to cope up with the competition we need to keep upskilling.

Remarks:

The college as a whole has good faculty, infrastructure and good placements. It can be one of the best colleges one could get (if not an IIT). The only negative (not exactly) remark would be the fee structure of the college
