Remarks :

for eligibility for my course...I had to clear jee mains and clear the cutoff for jee advance, then had to clear jee advance with a decent enough rank to get the aforementioned course in my college, the admission process started after the conclusion of the joss conselling.

Course Curriculum Overview :

course curriculum is somewhat outdated.....now there is trend of CAD but still more emphasis is given on manual engineering drawing.....PDS (Programming and data structures) therory subject mode of examination doesnt make sense...wehave to fill blank column with the correct code line to get the desired output.

Class Size : 1800Course Fees : INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

there are fantastic oppurtunity for internship with in the college...some departments have compulsory internship integrated in there in the curriculum, generally the internship period is usually the pre final year in the course in undergraduate course.

Placement Experience :

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Usually depends on the program you want to apply for...as far as my knowledge for btech 4yr course is overall 11 to 12 lakhs and for dual degree course is 14-15 lakhs Indian rupees for general category students, there are some fee relief for reserved categories as well. there are many scholarship offered by the institute for students based on merit and financial condition which can be availed by the students...(generally it is a tedious).

Campus Life :

There are 2 major fest in iit kharagpur....SPRING FEST and KHSITIJ both in the month of january each year, the latter is a techno-management fest and spring fest, a cultural fest. There are wide variety of books covering many topic which are free for use for enrolled students during library hours. People can borrow books fform the library.

Hostel Facilities :

rooms alloted to me are triple sharing, rooms are in good condition,restrooms are also in good condition, washing machines and water filter...well they are average some works other dont. meal quality is average...some days food are good but some times food taste is hands down trash. there is no registrstion process the hall management council has alloted all students halls to stay.

Hostel Fee : INR 50000 per year

Faculty :

some profeesor are good in teaching, but all are proffs are well qualifed and knowledgeable in their respective field. Teaching asistant are good but some are just writting solution of tutorials in the board and dont bother explaining.

IIT kharagpur is the best

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am new to this curriculum but I am happy with my decision. Median package of this year is 21 lakhs in this course and faculty are too friendly. Exams are a little on the tougher side. We will have field trips for the research purpose overall it's a very underrated branch And we can try non core if we want to...since there is a lot of free time

Life in KGP

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is offered by CDC. After completing 2 years you get to sit in CDC interviews for internships, all the top companies for example google, BCG, McKinskey, and may others visits the college. And after 7th semesters you get to sit for placements. The highest packages goes around 2Cr. You opt for any profile SDE, data, consulting, product. I plan to get placed in product management after my degree.

Life At IISER Kolkata

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a 5 years course. Course are quiet tougher than other B.sc colleges but it will be very effective if you are going in research field. It will also introduce you to the basic of research and it will help you in future. A habit of reading research paper are vey common in this couse work and will help in your phd. Course Curriculum Overview:

Courses at IISER Kolkata are not like usual curriculum in state or central Universities in India. IISER Kolkata 's academic curriculum is quite similar to that of US and European Universities. The focus of the curriculum is to teach and train us to make us researchers. So the courses are quite relevant if someone wants a career in research. Exams are very frequent in iiser Kolkata, apart from the mid semester and end semester exams, there are regular quizzes/class tests/surprisetests/assignments/grades tutorial problems every week.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was already very interested in economics. My college has a healthy student to teacher ratio. For every 1teacher there is 4 students. Almost of our faculties have phD and master's done. The faculty is very interactive and makes sure the concepts are clear The exams are fairly standard and the exam timings are optimal.
