Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose the course according to my rank, I wanna pursue research in physics so I felt this course would align with me interest, along with the course study, the Department also organizes field trips for real world experience , The labs also provide a good way to understand the usecase in real life, The exams are quite frequently but if someone attends classes regularly then it's not that difficult

Internships Opportunities :

All the major giants like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Qualcomm, ,jp Morgan visit the campus for placements , In the 3rd year students have to sit for internships ships for all kinds of field like tech , software, product, management, finance etc

Placement Experience :

The placements record is good of our college, in 4rth year student are eligible for placements , all the major giants visit the campus like Google, Microsoft, Facebook,jp Morgan, Goldman Sachs and qualcomn

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The affordability of the course is not a big problem as even for students from a eager economic background there are scholarships which they can avail, for eg scholarships for students enrolled in a Bs course and have cleared NTSE or KVPY along side student loans is also easily available

Campus Life :

The annual cultural fest is spring fest and the techno management fest kshitij both of which are held in January, The library is one of the biggest library in Asia it has access to all the books that you need from all the departments,

Hostel Facilities :

A study table, fan , bed and a Almira is provided in the room, the size of the rooms is a bet small tho, The mess food is okaish not that great tho, on Sundays however the lunch is great inside the hostel we have all the shops for basic needs

Admission :

The admission was based on the JEE Advanced exam which is considered the tough test exams of the country, The preparation for the exam was really tedious as it required hours of study daily for a period of two years, The application form ,gees and the pyqs were easily available on the jee advanced website

Faculty :

The faculty are really great ,they are really knowledgeable and proficient in their fields, since most of them are also an alumni of IIT kharagpur themselves so understand the problems and students well , we can approach the professor anytime during the working hours and they are very happy to help.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am new to this curriculum but I am happy with my decision. Median package of this year is 21 lakhs in this course and faculty are too friendly. Exams are a little on the tougher side. We will have field trips for the research purpose overall it's a very underrated branch And we can try non core if we want to...since there is a lot of free time

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is offered by CDC. After completing 2 years you get to sit in CDC interviews for internships, all the top companies for example google, BCG, McKinskey, and may others visits the college. And after 7th semesters you get to sit for placements. The highest packages goes around 2Cr. You opt for any profile SDE, data, consulting, product. I plan to get placed in product management after my degree.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but you have to put a lot of efforts during the time of recession. Thus is the worst phase of the college life where you become stressed, selfish, and nervous. This is the tough scenario to get high packages.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a 5 years course. Course are quiet tougher than other B.sc colleges but it will be very effective if you are going in research field. It will also introduce you to the basic of research and it will help you in future. A habit of reading research paper are vey common in this couse work and will help in your phd. But if you dont want to pursue in research then it will be less relevant to you.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Courses at IISER Kolkata are not like usual curriculum in state or central Universities in India. IISER Kolkata 's academic curriculum is quite similar to that of US and European Universities. The focus of the curriculum is to teach and train us to make us researchers. So the courses are quite relevant if someone wants a career in research. Exams are very frequent in iiser Kolkata, apart from the mid semester and end semester exams, there are regular quizzes/class tests/surprisetests/assignments/grades tutorial problems every week.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was already very interested in economics. My college has a healthy student to teacher ratio. For every 1teacher there is 4 students. Almost of our faculties have phD and master's done. The faculty is very interactive and makes sure the concepts are clear The exams are fairly standard and the exam timings are optimal.
