Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is indeed very good. Since it is an applied economics course and it helps me a lot to learn something which is applied to real-world problems that's the main reason for choosing this course. All the faculties are very helpful and all of them had done their Ph.D. from very renowned universities and some of them from foreign universities too. The exams are conducted 2 times per semester in a very periodic manner and according to the academic calender. The course structure is inclined towards real-life problems and statements so it's quite helpful. The university invites some guest lecturers also from IIM-C, Jadavpur University etc.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, the placement cell is very active regarding internship opportunities. Many good company visits and many students exchange programs are also provided. Tech for India and many more opportunities are provided so that students can get experience before their final placement
Placement Experience :
Placements opportunity are actually very good in this college. For UG-courses, students are eligible from the 5th semester and for PG courses, from the 3rd semester onwards, they are eligible for on-campus placements. Many good companies visit campus. All the details are available on the website. The placement cell is very active and ensures a higher number of placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
One of the best parts about studying for the presidency is the return on investment you get here. The course fee is quite nominal and low. There is also the assistance of scholarships on the basis of merit and financial conditions also. Many government scholarships are Al's provided to students. The campus placement hasn't started yet for our batch. But according to previous records, it's quite good and many companies visit our campus for recruitment.
Campus Life :
Life at the campus is actually very happening, joyous and the environment is very friendly and good. Many seminars and lectures are conducted on a regular basis. Annual fests like ISPAT in the month of October, MILIEU in the month of may and many more are conducted throughout the year. Many sports competitions and activities are held on campus on a regular basis. Different types of societies and groups are also there. There are mainly 2 libraries- Arts Library and Central Library (For science). A wide range of books and journals are available there and there is a very peaceful reading room in the library. The infrastructure is quite good with all the facilities like Wifi etc. Overall the campus and the life on campus both are very mesmerizing and joyful.
Admission :
The eligibility criteria required for this course is at least 55% marks in graduation. (B.A or B.sc in Economics). One need to give an admission test i.e., PUMDET to get admission to this college. All the application details with forms are available on the university website ( www.presiuniv.av.in ). The fee for the application form is INR 500. I belong to the general category so I didn't avail any reservation benefits. The admission process was so smooth. After getting shortlisted for the program I received a mail from the university and all the needful requirements were stated there.
