IIT Kharagpur is the Institute where every IIT aspirants dream to walk through. And it has been standing on people's expectations with its excellent faculties and facilities.

Entrance Preview :

I wrote GATE exam. I opted For chemical engineering course, In order to be employed in petroleum, chemical industries. Admission procedure was quite easy when compared to Other IIT. As IIT Kharagpur has the highest number Of students intake.It has only a f2f interview where our technical knowledge will be tested. It may aslo havE written test depending on the Department you apply. As of now presently they are directly intaking students If We hav good score in GATE, like Around 500+.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It was apt for the overall development Of the students. FOr M.tech's In 1st yr it has 2 semesters course work. Which includes electives like computational fluid mechanics, Advanced fluid mechanics, Advanced heat transfer, Multi phase flow, Separation technics, Particle technology, Process modeling nd simulation, Optimization technics and many subjects. Among which we need to Take 2 elective in each semisters. 2nd yr is meant for project work.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are more opportuned for under graduates than for post graduate students. As of now MHRD has increased the stipend for M.tech students to 12500/- Monthly.

Placement Experience :

Its quite good If you maintain healthy CGPA throughout. The list of companies and ctc are below Sumo time. 36 lakh Schlumberger 30 lakhShell. 20 lakh Facebook. 40-60 lakh Aditya birla, 8 lakh Tata steel. 9 lakh L&T. 6 lakh Honeywell 9lakh.

College Events :

There are intra college events Going on throughout academics, between Hostel halls in dramatics, cultural, Sports events. And there are their own individual Hostel facilities for dramatic, cultural, sports. Most Excited events in IIT Kharagpur are Spring Fest, KSHITIJ, SHOURYA, Spring Fest is completely cultural.KSHITIJ is of igniting minds of IIT Kharagpur which includes robotics etc.SHOURYA is the lethal energetic competition among the furious athletes. Which includes athletics, cricket, hockey, swimming. Here college from different places come and participate. There Inter IIT sports and games taking place every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible 26k for every semisters includes Hostel and food.based on regulation and government rules fee structure may vary in one accadamic year to another accodamic year but fee is very less compare to other institutions in india.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes there are lots of banks providing loans. Present which schemes are there i dont know but pg students no need for loans . Already pg students getting stay fund.

Campus Life :

LIT Kharagpur makes Sure of overall development of students by providing best opportunities in sports, cultural, with students coming from different places, integrating by participating in events here.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels 8/10 Food 7/10 Hostels are fully modernised and every room connected with wifi and every floor contains washing machine . Food is available for both south indian and north indian food.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network are allthrough connected with students and provide Info wherever necessary and every year alumni meet is going on and alumni awards also giving for who are good contribution to science and technology.

Exam Structure :

The complete academic schedule Is planned in before hand. Its no hectic, it has 1internal exam for 30 marks 1 external of 50 marks Remaining 20 marks are for steady class attendance, assignment, class performance.

Faculty :

Faculties are world class. You Can find many NPTEL video Of chemical engineering are done by IIT Kharagpur faculties. Way of teaching and teaching methods are very good and they gave assignments that is increase students subject and thinking levels.

IIT is the dream of every Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because I have done my b.tech in Agricultural Field.There is 5 faculties for 22 Students. Two Exams in each semester like mid term exam and semester end exam. All Faculties having minimum graduation like post doctoral.

Start of life at IIT Kharagpur

Placement Experience:

Placements of an IIT are always great. It is the first destination of some multi-national companies for recruitment. Our previous batch observed 1600 placement offers being made to the students including 35 international offers. Highest CTC went to Rs. 2.4 CPA. Sectors like software, Analytics, Consulting, Core Analytics, banking, finance made job offers. Barclay, Goldman Sachs, Honeywell, Microsoft, MasterCard, Dr. Reddy, Tata Steel, and many such others participated in the week.

Entrance Preview:

GATE, For computer science in PG course you have to opt min 500 score approximate for general category. Admission process is pretty simple science CCMT comes.

Admission:

I took this college in the NSR the last round, my score is 557 GEN, i am looking better college, but unfortunately in NSR round general seats are not vacant in many respectful colleges. You just fill the the CCMT account and whole process is online so you do not have to go anywhere for filling form.In that form you to fill the all eligible colleges and branches in the priority-wise. You can also checks the previous years cut-off marks for any colleges, based on that you can fill the choices. After that they notify some tentative dates for 1 st round counselling. If you got any college then you have to go for registered college for verification either you want to take that college or cancel that. You can wait for other rounds for better colleges .
