Course Curriculum Overview :
The computer science or Information technology both branches are very good in indian institute of engineering science technology shibpur. This college is autonomous that's why you can not find the course structure. But many subjects are similar to our B.Tech subjects or some extensions of that or say advanced.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes my college Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur provides intern-ship. but different streams provides different structure of intern-ship. Even in my stream i interned the batch students in the first time. We are three members who gave the interned to B.Tech student which are productive and useful. but we didn't gave any stipend. In our college workshop and seminars are held in frequent times.
Placement Experience :
Placements are very good for our branches CS and IT students for Btech Average for other branches. Many respected and dreamed companies are also come like GOOGLE, AMAZON, MICROSOFT, DIRETCI, etc.but they gave the pretty good packages. on the other hand many other companies like INFOSYS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT,IBM,L&T, etc are also come. but the packages are not too good around 3.5-4.5 only. Also college provide some better opportunity by medium packers company and startups .For PG student they don't provide much opportunity. Officially only TCS R&D has came for us.
Exam Structure :
Because of autonomous college the exam centres are with in college and paper sets by your subject teachers. So the the level and questions are not go far. The marking system also nice because of the marks also given by the subject teachers. So if you have good relationship with faculty then dont worry about marks.
Admission :
I took this college in the NSR the last round, my score is 557 GEN, i am looking better college, but unfortunately in NSR round general seats are not vacant in many respectful colleges. You just fill the the CCMT account and whole process is online so you do not have to go anywhere for filling form.In that form you to fill the all eligible colleges and branches in the priority-wise. You can also checks the previous years cut-off marks for any colleges, based on that you can fill the choices. After that they notify some tentative dates for 1 st round counselling. If you got any college then you have to go for registered college for verification either you want to take that college or cancel that. You can wait for other rounds for better colleges .
Faculty :
Almost all the faculty members are local means from west Bengal because previously this is state government college. But old faculty members are very much experience and they deliver the knowledge very nicely. on the other hand newly joined faculty are great exposer and talent which will help in the research works also.
