- the campus here is very beatiful and heart warming , you will fall in love with the greenery of the campus
- The staff workers , watchman , shopkeepers etc. are very polite and humble to the students
Dislikes
- Poor connectivity from the city , it is situated in the outskirts , you have to go to kolkata to catch your flights
- Kharagpur weather is not very good over the year, summer is very hot and humid , it is very sticky to live and study here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum at IIT KGP is generally well-regarded for its relevance and comprehensiveness 1) Industry Alignments: the curriculum is frequently updated to align with industry standards and technological advancements 2) Reaserch focus: the institute emphasis a strong emphasis on research , which is integrated into course. 3)Core subjects: the cirriculum covers all the fundamental subjects thoroughly , providing a strong foundation in the respective field of study
Placement Experience :
In 5th and 6th semester you can apply for internship and can get PPO's . companies like microsoft,google,amazon many consulting furms like mckensie,accenture,goldmansachs etc. they hire based on their skills not on their departments, so lower branches students also get equal opportunities . last year highest package offered was 2.68 crore to a mnc student . average package is around 18 lakh p.a. almost 78 percentage of the whole batch got placed last year.

Campus Life :
Spring fest is the annual fest , kshitij is the tech fest and shaurya is our sports fest . Spring fest is held in january every year their are variety of books and journels available in the library and they are easily accessible through online and offline modes Projectors and PC's are installed in the classroom with air conditioning and ambient lighting you will find every sport here at our campus you can pursue whichever sport you want. variety of societies and clubs are here at iit kgp you will definitely gonna find a society of your interest like Buissiness club , welfare groups , chess club , tech clubs etc
Hostel Facilities :
In first you have a triple sharing room , you get a personal almirah,chair,study table and bed along with that ambient lighting , good network speed and great ventilation . the mess food is not very much great but it is fine , menu changes every month , you get a different meal evry day. there is no different process for hostel booking as it is done readily with the college admission, and talking about affordability it is pretty much affordable compared to other institutes
Admission :
I chose IIT KGP above all the institutes due to its academic reputation and curriculum. i was getting confirmed admission in DTU CSE . The admission process to get into this college is through jee advanced examination that was conducted this year in may . and then you have through the JOSAA counselling followed by document verification and physical reporting at the admitted institute . Though our institute offers various programmes like Btech , Metch,B.arch,BS,MS and MBA etc. , the most famous is Btech and its cut off is available on the JOSAA website
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is 21:1 and the faculties are very much approachable through email, text and in person as well. I can't name one faculty as all are just brilliant in their respective subjects but sometimes due to deadlines they accelerate the topic a bit fast, there are 4 exams per year and test held in between and if you have studied well enough you can score good in exam
