- Attendance policy which says that atleast 80 percent of attendance is compulsory to give exams
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculties are the excellent and top professors of India who have done very great things to teach you. The course curriculum at IIT Bombay is so flexible, it provides you with many opportunities and many fields of skills whatever you want. Exams and quizzes are taken very frequently and the difficulty level is on a little harder side.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are offered from 2nd year but it is easier to get it in 3rd year of college. The internship stipend is nice. Companies like Syndr, Bain and company, and many more companies give such opportunities. You have to appear for tests and a rigorous interview series to get such internships.
Placement Experience :
from the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. many companies visited. Last year's highest package was 3.67 Crores per annum by Janes Street. different companies from different sectors come for the placement drive. The average package is about 21 lacs rs per annum. About 100 percent placement rate is seen in the college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are divided into many sections out of which 100000 rs is tuition fees, about 15000 rs is hostel fees and 22500 rs is mess fees. There are many scholarships for economically weaker sections like Merit cum means, Fee remission, and many more.
Campus Life :
IIT Bombay organizes Asia's largest cultural fest, MOOD INDIGO where more than 2 lakh people come. There are many very large fests like Techfest, E-summit, etc. Usually, they are conducted in December. IIT Bombay has a very beautiful and large library where you can get many references and books of different genres. The classroom infrastructure is very nice. All classes are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi and ACs. Sports and extracurricular activities are very nice. there are many clubs and competitions for all this stuff. InSync, SilverScreen, Symphony etc are some examples of it.
Admission :
For admission to IIT Bombay, you are required to first qualify for JEE mains and get a good enough rank in JEE advanced. also, you should be in the top 20 percentile of your respective board or 75% of the CBSE board. The application form is available in the official website of JEE Advanced. Application fees are around 3000 Rs and the form comes about after the release of JEE main result.
