The reality of IIT's

Dislikes

  • Academics pressure was very high and exam were held in every week

Course Curriculum Overview :

I'm getting this course according to my rank and it is good. the faculty is to student ratio is 1:8, all the faculty members are PHD holders from IIT and teaching depends on faculty to faculty, exams are every week they are quite difficult

Internships Opportunities :

All the big companies visit IITG and 50% of students get on-campus placements. There are many roles in coding skills, management, data analytics etc those who don't get campus internships, apply for campus internship

Placement Experience :

From the start of the third year institute helped us to grab opportunities for getting internships, all big companies like Google, Microsoft etc visited our campus, and 50% of them got internship opportunities. For placement, 87% of students got placed highest package was around 2cr an average around 21lpa and a median of 18lpa

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

According to the government, college fee is too much and fee hike is 10-15k per year IIT has very much capability to provide job opportunities, seniors help from time to time with quality content to grab good skills

Campus Life :

The annual fest is Alcheringa which is conducted in January. There is a central library which has all types of books for academics and non-academics. There is all type of club in college for extracurricular activities. E- cell is a website run by IITG students

Admission :

I gave Jee Advanced 2023 and got CRL 8901 and EWS Rank 1195. after getting selected we filled out the jossa counselling and got a seat in the energy engineering department at IIT GUWAHATI. The admission process is there is no need for improvement

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've been enthusiastic about exploring more about software and programming which influenced me to choose the course of Computer Science Engineering. With further development of artificial intelligence, it opens up better learning and job opportunities for students. In my university, computer science is taught by experienced teachers and faculty but it would be better if they were more inclusive of certain topics which are extremely important for the students and raising the level of teaching including practical learning and understanding and also examining the student's capability is one of the aspects to be included.

To be honest, placements were dissapointing however it is getting better day by day. The major hindrance is the location factor but TnP cell works very hard to bring companies and to provide students with equal opportunities.
