Course Curriculum Overview :

The purpose behind choosing electronics and communication engineering is my interest in this field as well as chance of better placements. Faculty student ratio in my college is about 1:15. Delightedly almost 75% of the faculty members are PHD holders from IITs and other well known institutes. This institute consists of two unit tests and two cycle tests along with the end semester examination which are not really very difficult if you have studied good.

Class Size : 69Course Fees : INR 245000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Well known companies like Amazon, Microsoft and IBM visited here in past few years and provided promising packages and internships. Companies provide jobs under the roll of data scientists, web developers and other.

Placement Experience :

IIIT Una provides internship in 6th sem and placement before completing the graduation. Well known companies like Microsoft, Amazon and IBM and many more have visited this institute in the past years. Almost 90% of the students grab good placement offers. The highest off campus package offered is 65 lakh per annum and 45 lakh per annum for on campus.

Fees and Financial Aid :

This is actually one of the major problem for studying here as the fees structure is really very high here. The overall (tution+hostel+mess) fees is 3 lakh 40 thousand per year. And remember there is no scope for any waiver or scholarship from the college side. Banks also provide loans only upto 7.5 lakhs without security for this college. Scholarships which are provided by the state or central government are available only according to your eligibility. Although college provides you the internship in the 6th sem and promising placements after the graduation.

Campus Life :

To be very honest my college has one of the best campus life among all the IIITs. It has a lot of fests and clubs by which you can explore yourself and your interests. Talking about the fests it has mainly three fest Mridang (cultural fest), Meraki (technical fest) and Yalgaar (sports fest). Also right now its has five clubs force (for coding enthusiasts), Avesh (for tech enthusiasts), Eunoia (literature club), Epmoc (event management club) and Pixcels (photography club).

Hostel Facilities :

I can proudly say that IIIT una has best hostel facilities among all the IIITs and even better from many IITs. Rooms are theee seater and have all the necessary requirements. Mess food is also good and sometimes it is even better.

Hostel Fee : INR 88000 per year

Admission :

You can enroll in IIIT Una through the well known exam of india.....JEE MAINS. The eligibility criteria for the admission is to score minimum of 70 % in your +2 and to clear the individual cutoff of the college accordingly. The application form and all is available on the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA). You can also avail the benefit of reservation if you belong to any of the OBC, EWS, ST, SC, PWD category. One thing I really want to see as an improvement is to fix the dates and schedule of exam before a specific time.

Life at IIIT UNA

Placement Experience:

The campus placement of IIIT UNA is good. The highest package of 2023 in IIIT Una was 60 lpa(off campus) and 45 lpa (on campus) . The average pakage was 15 lpa , and around 90 % of the student got placed, during the placement drive. The average pakage of IT department was 16 lpa. A full semester is dedicated for internship and to earn work experience. Many companies like Google, Facebook, nvidia,Amazon etc appeared into placement drive.I am also targeting such FANG companies.
