  • GIM fee is somewhat on a higher end according to me , I believe that it can be on a slight lower end .
  • As GIM campus is located on a remote location so access to regular market is somewhat difficult , we have to rent a vehcile from campus to access the local market .

Course Curriculum Overview :

GIM BDA is a techno Managerial course that will open my horizons in managerial roles in the technology field that is my main reason to choose this course. The student-faculty ratio in the GIM BDA program is really great, its around 20:1 which is apt for student learning. Most of our faculty are industry experts holding a minimum of 10-12 years of hands-on experience. Also, every faculty in GIM has completed a research project in their respective fields on modern-day topics and sometimes students are also given a chance to contribute to the research project of professors. The teaching method of professors is generally two-way where a lot of questions they ask from students which makes class participation an unavoidable event. In total, there are 3 trimester in Year 1 and in between these 3 trisems there are midterms as well, same structure is followed in Year 2. The exam level is as per the class standards although some external topics are also asked just to compel students to explore.

Internships Opportunities :

In total, around 38 companies participated in the SIP program and an average stipend of 48000 per month, the highest of 1.28 Lakhs per month was offered in the 2021-23 batch. In SIP GIM students are given Live ongoing projects of the firm to work on and contribute in real-time problem solving of the firm. By working on Live projects students gain a practical glimpse of their work in a short duration of time and after submitting their project report, they can come back and prepare for the final placements accordingly.

Placement Experience :

After completing three trisems students become eligible for the summer internship program and in 5th trisem the final placement takes place. GIM BDA program has a 100% placement record and for a batch of 120 students around 40-45 companies participate in the recruitment process. In BDA the highest CTC offered in the 2021-23 batch was 42 LPA and the lowest was around 14 LPA, In BDA generally the roles offered revolve around data analyst, consultant etc. My plan after getting a degree from GIM is to first gain 4-5 years of industry experience and then start my own consultancy firm.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

So in Total GIM has a tuition fee of 19.5 Lakhs which is fixed and not subject to increase during the tenure of the course. Although Hostel and mess charges are subject to increase by 10-20% depending on the administration. The cost to study in GIM is relatively high according to me as there are other B schools as well with the same quality of education in the market but again it also depends on the number of options a student is having. There is a profile-based scholarship in GIM given in HCM / BIFS programs preferred only to MBBS doc/CAs. Apart from it, there is a need cum merit-based scholarship as well where a student is evaluated on the basis of 1st year academic performance and in this scholarship complete tuition fee of the year is waived.

Campus Life :

The GIM campus is loaded with a number of fests which are spread evenly through the year, As far as my experience I have been on the campus for around 1 month now and have attended two fests the first one was an Induction ceremony followed by the La fiesta (freshers) and experience of this fest is awesome. The GIM library is equipped with 18 different kinds of journals and the library is available to the students on a 24*7 basis. In the classroom, all basic amenities like a desktop for each student, AC, fans, and Projectors are there which multiplies the learning experience. GIM campus has a variety of sports facilities in the campus like a swimming pool, Full-size football ground, tennis court, indoor badminton court, basketball court, and volleyball court. In total GIM also has 20 different clubs which are responsible for conducting a wide variety of events throughout the year.

Hostel Facilities :

In year 1 twin sharing hostel rooms are allotted to the students and each room has two single beds, a ceiling fan, 2 study tables, 2 almirah and things like mattress, and dustbin is not given to the students. There are two functional messes in the hostel one being for continental menu and the other one is for the regular menu, In a day 4 meals are given to the students and in addition to the messes there is a one-night canteen as well which is a function from night 11 pm to morning 4 am. The quality of food served in the mess is decent and they serve a wide variety of food, generally, no repetition in the menu can be seen in a week. GIM offers a residential program hence hostel is mandatory for all students taking admission in GIM.

Admission :

For Getting selected for GIM Big Data Analytics, a student have to give any of the competitive exams like CAT/XAT/CMAT and after clearing this cut off you have to also appear for the GAAT exam which is conducted by GIM only specifically for those students who are applying for Big Data Analytics program. GAAT syllabus would revolve around advanced class 12 maths topics like differentiation, Integration etc and some programming as well. After clearing these two exams you have to undergo GD and then a composite score would be made and based on composite score cut-offs you will be offered Admission to the GIM BDA program. Apart from there is the achiever round as well where you are not required to give CAT/XAT/CMAT but in this round, you have to give GAAT as well. GAAT is compulsory for all students who apply for the GIM BDA program. GIM application form can be found in there website from September third week onwards, form fee would be around INR 2500/- onwards it will increase if you fill form late

Interview Experience :

After clearing the cut-off of CAT/XAT/CMAT and GAAT, students are shortlisted for GD, topics for GD are generally based on current technological trends in the Data field, mine was the Role of DATA in modern-day decision Making. After the GD round, the students will undergo the PI which will of two rounds, In round 1 technical knowledge is tested and in Round 2 questions were generally profile-based. To prepare for these rounds and GD students have to be thorough in there Graduation subjects and general knowledge as well, I would also advise them to go through the latest happenings in the field of Data Analytics and have a piece of deep knowledge about their CV as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of its non-specific focus on a single component it covers human resource management as well as finance management & operation management. Faculty : student ratio is around 1:10 Some faculty here are from top-tier institutes like IIM Ahmedabad and others have vast industry experience. Term Exam are held in timely fashion and because of relative grading it's comparatively difficult to pass than under graduate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Choosing GIM's PGDM was a strategic move for me. The curriculum is dynamic, constantly evolving to reflect current business trends. Core courses in finance, marketing, and strategy provide a strong foundation, while electives let you specialize in areas like analytics, entrepreneurship, or sustainability. Plus, the faculty-student ratio of around 1:15 ensures personalized attention. Professors are industry veterans and academic thought leaders, bringing real-world expertise to the classroom. Their diverse qualifications – doctorates from top global universities, industry experience with MNCs and startups – enrich the learning experience. Teaching methods are interactive, with case studies, simulations, and guest lectures keeping things engaging. Term exams were generally on schedule, with a two-week window for preparation. Difficulty varies depending on the course and professor, but thorough preparation and utilizing faculty guidance ensured I passed comfortably.
