Greenery, college is full of trees. During rainy season ,cool climate it is good.
Peaceful temple. Morning temple is sooo good. We can start our day with peaceful mind

Sunny days. It is soo hot here during afternoons. Summer season is terrific.
College is placed in city outskirts. Travelling is hectic.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Instrumentation and control engineering is the course in nit tiruchirapalli I got in counselling. This is the circuital branch. Professors are somewhat strict. And placements are good in this course. The professors' teaching is also good. Each batch consists of 118 students in this course. Divided into 2 sections. If we study well we can easily score marks. That's not matter.

Class Size : 57Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

We can get company interns from 3 rd yr. Big companies like Google, Texas, factor, png etc can come. Roles will be offered with respect to our profile. And eligibility. We need to do 1 or 2 mini projects before the intern itself for better sake. If we did nothing also fine. Resume standards are important

Placement Experience :

From 4th year placement starts onwards we are having placements. In placements, we can sit in any company's exam in any domain.. with respect to our interest. We need to learn those domain topics on our own. Domains for this course include software, analytics, electronics, and core.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is somewhat high. But with the income certificate, we can have fee remission. If we have an income certificate of less than 1 lakh we can have a full fee waiver. We need to pay some extra fees library, wifi etc. And hostel mess fee. If it is below 8 lakh 2/3 remission is there. We can avail of government scholarships and some institute alumni scholarship also

Campus Life :

Life in this college is so good. We bounded ourselves in our +1,+2 standards to crack jee. For those people, this college gives free bird life. We have so many clubs and so many events. We can go into our interested domains... Sports dance singing.. whatever we like... We can develop ourselves.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is good only. But infrastructure is somewhat average. Food also we can tell like above average. They will provide unlimited meals. Hostel registration also can be done during the admission process itself.

Hostel Fee : INR 80000 per year

Admission :

We have to qualify for jee mains examination to get a seat in NITs. And to write jee advanced also. According to the jee mains percentile and depending on rank we can have the respective courses in each nits. After getting results we have a counselling process it consists of 6 rounds. We need to fill the choices of our own college and course. Whatever seat we have in the last round we can join in that college by paying the fee provided by the institute.

Students starting placed from their last semester. Reputed companies gave an offer. Like tcs, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The highest package will be 60k and minimum 25k. 98% got placed before completing the degree. 55% above is the minimum for placement if you want to be placed in a high package of salary Job.

SASTRA College Life- An Amazing Experience

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
