Remarks :

Cleared the jee advance 2022 with a rank of 4148 and opted for the electronics and communication engineering branch at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar. The cutoff for the branch was around 4500.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I wanted to choose any technical branch over first-generation iit and hence I choose electronics and communications at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar. The faculty member is all Ph.D. qualified and good teaching methods are followed.

Class Size : 52Course Fees : INR 240000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, internships can be applied here in the third year. Being a first-year student I don't know particularly enough about internships but quite good companies are present here like havells ex-president is sponsoring 5 start-ups from college.

Placement Experience :

Good placements are available for the student here, fourth-year students can apply for placement and third years students can apply for internships. Even in the first week of placements, 90% of students off cse were placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No particular scholarship was provided to me being a general caste student but for minor castes, scholarships are provided as no fees are charged to them if they are better in academics. The fee structure is basic as like the other iits.

Campus Life :

There is a total of 4 fests and many other societies for us. There is an availability of a library in the Institute where you can go 24×7. There are 3 types of societies that anyone can get into based sports, science and technology, and socio-cultural societies.

My perspective, through the University experience

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is decent but since the number of students enrolled in a course is relatively high, one really need to work hard if they aim at getting placed at a really good package. It is necessary to keep in head that since competition is high due to huge population of students, you need to consistently give your best and do extra courses side by side.

From the first year onwards you can get a paid internship. If you have skills you can get an internship by yourself. From the 5th-6th semester, you can get campus internships from companies like tech Mahindra, boutique many more. The highest package is 12lpa and the average package is 3lpa 70-80% of students are getting placements. Yes our college do gives campus placements. From the 7th semester students get campus placements.
