My Review

Remarks :

The college is very good if you really want to learn in your particular stream.

Entrance Preview :

IIIT Hyderabad autonomous exam. I opted As this college is one the the top most engineering colleges in India and the quality.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is vary exhaustive which covers depth and breath of the stream. It includes various types of specialization, humanities course(not part of mandatory credits to be completed), workshops, seminars, tutorials. They focus on practical implementation of what you learn in lectures

Internships Opportunities :

Since I was not part of any internship in our college so can not provide in depth details regarding it. But many students from other colleges opt for internships in various labs in our college.

Placement Experience :

The placement is very good as top notch companies come for recruitment. A lot of people get places in various organisations. Many people opt for startups also which give them ample opportunity for enhancing their skills even more. Some opt for opening their own ventures.

College Events :

There are many cultural and technical fests conducted at out college. Felicity is the annual techno-cultural fest of IIIT-Hyderabad, and would go on from January 27th to 29th. This time, our theme celebrates that one merry period of life, when we were young, curious and free. This Felicity we dedicate these three days to walk you through your childhood once again, and take a dip in the nostalgia of the 90's.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Since the college in autonomous, it charges approx 1 lack per semester. The college runs on no profit no loss rule so the money collected gets reinvested in college itself in terms of maintaining labs, subsidy to juice/food vendors etc. Although it is high as compare to IITs/NITs but the knowledge acquired here is worth every penny.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

You get loan approval from the SBH branch which is inside the college campus itself and they provide various scholarships also

Campus Life :

the campus life if very balanced in terms of study and extra curricular activities. You get to know, work, play with various kinds of people from whom you can learn a lot in terms of motivation, learning, knowledge etc. The robotics lab is one of the top labs in India.

Hostel Facilities :

Mess food is far better than the general perception that people have about mess food. I know many local people used to eat in the mess even though they had the option of going home and having a lovely meal cooked by their mothers. If you don't like the food in a particular mess, you can change your mess within 2 days.

Alumni/Alumna :

The senior are very helpful in guiding their junior batch mates. They help in clearing various doubts etc which helps in leaning various things. They also conduct various tutorials which benefits for the completion of projects/assignment.

Exam Structure :

The exam consists of mostly 4 credits per course and you can opt for maximum 20-24 credits equivalent course. There are some mandatory courses according to your course and rest you can opt for subjects of your own interest from a bucket of courses provided at the start of every semester.

Admission :

They conduct their own autonomous exam for entrance and after that they conduct interviews. After that, the selection will be done on the basis of your performance in these two rounds. There will be one pending list also, in case if someone does not join the institute or opt for some other course, that seat will be given to candidates in the waiting list/pending list.

Faculty :

The faculties are from top notch colleges ranging from IISC, IITs and various other top foreign institutes. The faculty mainly focuses on going into depth of the course so that you get hands on experience in implementing in in practical scenarios. The projects are of research level where you get the opportunity to solve latest technological problems.

Placement Experience:

This is the most good part of this college. Placements are very good here for the CSE and other Circuital branches Placement are very good. Coming to the core branches they are a bit tough like everywhere else I'm from M.tech Environmental Engineering (civil department) Our batch strength is 28 . I'm writing this review on 22nd March, my senior batch (22-24) they also have same strength i.e 28. Out of 28 , 18 have been placed till date with av package of around 6.5 lpa which is a normal package which you can even expect from some good IITs (I'm not talking about bombay, Madras, kgp, Roorkee) . So Placements are really nice here and you will be exposed to various opportunities for your career growth irrespective of your branch. There are also various workshops and clubs which support entrepreneurship.

Placement Experience:

Mostly from 2nd semester of first year, internship opportunities start. Placement opportunities start during 2yr sem 1. Highest package is 28LPA and least is 3LPA Novartis, biocon, genpact , Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Sun Pharma, Aurobindo etc are few companies that provide placement opportunities. Most of the students get placed via campus placements. I decided to sit in placements and secure a job

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am interested in master, i want to gain extra knowledge about computer science. Faculty is sufficient, faculty students ratio is good. Some faculty is not good, I don't want to mention the name here but they are really worst. I can't think that why iiit keep professors like this.

Because IIIT Hyderabad is one of the high colleges in India, the college's placements are also up to par. During our batch, the college's highest placement offer was around 45 LPA, and the average wage offer was around 18 LPA. The college's regular recruiters include Amazon, Adobe, Google, Facebook, Jio, Samsung, Code Nation, Uber, Qualcomm, and TCS. Several of my classmates were also offered pre-placement opportunities during the internship programme.

It is a good course. Yet, Teaching staff could be better with more specialized trending research faculty and Placement department could be better with person from management background heading it.
