Remarks :
The only way to get into IIT Bombay is through JEE Advanced examination. The first round of Exams is JEE mains which is conducted by NTA in two shifts. Around 8 lakh candidates appear for the exam and around 2 lakh get selected. The selected candidates are then eligible to appear for JEE advanced exam. All the procedures from form filling to result in the declaration are conducted online by the IIT administration.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is revamped this year and the course has been made more flexible. The chemical engineering department at IIT Bombay has produced some of the best engineers in the country but most students opt for non-core placement in the field of finance, consultancy, etc. Overall the environment is good.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure of the BTech course is around 1300000 including mess and hostels. There may be a slight hike in fees in the upcoming years. There has various merit cum means scholarships for unprivileged students.
Campus Life :
There are multiple clubs which include technical clubs ( robotics, AI/ML, Entrepreneurships, etc) and cultural clubs (Dance, Music, Dramatics, etc) managed by students on campus. It helps for the holistic development of the students.
Hostel Facilities :
There are around 18 hostel within the campus. The sizes of hostel ranges from small hostel with 200 capacity to large ones with 1000 capacity.All the hostel have attached mess with it. The food quality is pretty descent and menu keeps changing everyday.
