IIIT Kottayam Review

Remarks :

In India, there are only a few colleges that offer courses in cyber security. IIIT Kottayam is a well-known educational institution, and the Ministry of Education has designated it as an Institute of National Importance. So I chose IIIT Kottayam for my M.tech programme because the admissions process is also simple and straightforward. I passed my GATE exam and wanted to finish my master's programme at a reputable college that only offers cyber security courses. IIIT Kottayam was the best option for me.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum at IIIT Kottayam is based on the most recent and modern industrial changes. The curriculum focuses primarily on Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, data structures, web development, and so on. It also explains the significance of cyber security and how to avoid cyber theft. Overall, the curriculum is very detailed. The college's faculty is extremely professional and highly qualified. The college's faculty is highly experienced, with many also having a research and industrial experience. The faculties are eager to assist students in identifying their weaknesses and motivating them in their academic and extracurricular activities.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is entirely optional. The college does not require internships, but they do provide guidance for those who are interested and assist them in identifying good companies in their field. Personally, I believe that you should complete the internship programme because it allows us to learn about the corporate environment and demonstrate our skills and knowledge.

Placement Experience :

The college's placement record is adequate; the college placement record is 90%. The placement committee works extremely hard and is able to attract industry market leaders for placement. During the placement drive, companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro, Oracle, Google, and Apple visit the campus. Our batch's highest package increased to 25 LPA, with an average package of around 8.30 LPA. I was also able to secure a placement with the 15 LPA package.

Campus Life :

The campus is very large and lushly landscaped. DHRUVA is the college's annual festival, and small festivals are held on a regular basis during India's festive season. The college has many facilities such as a GYM, Auditorium, Open Air Auditorium, ATM, Football, Cricket, and a field. The college seniors are very supportive and polite. The college's cultural club is also active, allowing students to participate in a variety of activities. The club has a rotational policy in which every one of us has the opportunity to be a part of the cultural club and manage the college's events.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is good, the infrastructure is well maintained, and the rooms are clean and well ventilated. The hostel wardens and staff work extremely hard to keep the hostel in order. The hostel mess food is of good quality, and it is prepared in a clean environment. The hostel also provides us with water and electricity 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Every room has internet access through LAN. The hostel provides us with a variety of basic and modern amenities.

Placement Experience:

In first semester so far no placement for structural engineering had came. Basically for Mtech placement is less compared to Btech. And especially for civil Engineering streams it's too less. College is saying many companies will visit in coming days. In Btech in other streams like CS,EEE most of them are placed when it comes to civil it's less to get placed in core companies. In Mtech only a few get placed in core companies. My aim is to get placed in any company. Preference is a core company but it's ok if get any other companies also

The only flaw of our college is that the college premises is too small. However the college management is trying to expand it with the help of government. The positives of our college are many and placement record is the prominent one among them.
