Placements for core companies should get more package

Course Curriculum Overview :

We have around 6 subjects in each semester in 1st year. Next in 2nd year, we have only project work to do. The faculty is good and easily accessible in projects and study. Exams were moderate and could pass easily.

Class Size : 25Course Fees : INR 80000 per year

Placement Experience :

Placements were good for all core and non-core companies. In CSE good packages have come to college students. For core companies like civil companies, the packages were average to moderate. Can do PhD after MTech

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Since I came through the gate exam we got a stipend of 12,400 per month for 2 years. And can manage to pay semester fees with this stipend. Now the fees may have increased but the same stipend is given as of now.

Campus Life :

Campus Life is good and has a good nature. A good library and good books are available. The classrooms are average and have good faculty. The clubs are good and have good extra activities and clubs for participation.

Hostel Facilities :

Hotel was good in 1st year we got 4sharing room and in 2nd year we got seprate room for each person and we have rent fees of around 2500 and food bill of 3000 per every month. Food was good since having many mees we can select any mess

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per year

Admission :

I applied for the gate exam and I scored good marks in the exam. After the exam through the online portal, I applied for colleges and got this Nit Calicut. Obc, SC, and st reservations apply as per gate score. College is good

A review about life in CET, as an Mtech structural engineering student

Placement Experience:

In first semester so far no placement for structural engineering had came. Basically for Mtech placement is less compared to Btech. And especially for civil Engineering streams it's too less. College is saying many companies will visit in coming days. In Btech in other streams like CS,EEE most of them are placed when it comes to civil it's less to get placed in core companies. In Mtech only a few get placed in core companies. My aim is to get placed in any company. Preference is a core company but it's ok if get any other companies also

To get admission you should be a graduate in b.Tech with at least 45% marks. You will be selected on the basis of merit.

Placement Experience:

The institution provides with great opportunities to its students. There are internship for its students to grow. They also provide with jobs and placements. Many firms come and recruit the students. Many students take part in the placement programme.

Through GATE 2016, Got 567 score. I opted it because it is only the first institute in Asia which is totally focussed towards producing Scientists & Researchers.

After GATE exam, you have to apply the form of IIST, then they'll shortlist for the interview/written test on the basis of scorecard & number of Application. After qualifying the interview, they'll give the admission to different departments based on priority set by you at the time of Application.
