Indian Institute of Science and Technology in Thiruvananthapuram(IIST) is a deemed University under the UGC guidelines. GATE, JEE Main, and some other exam scores are used to determine admission to IIST Thiruvananthapuram. Candidates seeking M.Tech admission to IIST Thiruvananthapuram must pass the GATE exam in relevant areas. A minimum of 60% in B.Tech/B.E/Master of Science or any comparable degree is required, followed by GD and PI rounds. The entry form is available on the college's official website.

Course Curriculum Overview :

IIST Thiruvananthapuram is one of the top destinations for students interested in space technology to study. The college's curriculum is up to date and fulfills all industry standards. The curriculum is a combination of modern and traditional education. The curriculum not only provides theoretical information but also hands-on training.

Course Fees : INR 91000 per year

Placement Experience :

The college has a good placement record. It's also worth noting that the majority of this college's placements go to ISRO. However, corporations such as Mercedes Benz, Viz Experts, Mahindra & Mahindra come to university to recruit. Our batch's highest package was 14 LPA, while the lowest was 8 LPA. The placement committee is really dedicated and helpful.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I paid the whole fee in a one-time payment. Also because the fee structure at IIST is not that expensive and can be affordable for students. The whole master's degree cost me around 91,000. Scholarships are provided for SC/ST/PD and needy students. A merit-based scholarship is also offered. Education loans are also available, and the admissions department is fully supportive of the loan procedure, with all documents handled by the admissions office.

Campus Life :

The campus is quite large, and the administrative staff is kind and helpful. The campus is kept in good condition. The college's library is brimming with authoritative volumes and foreign magazines. A cricket and football pitch, as well as badminton, tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, are available on campus. The college's sports activities and fest keep students occupied throughout the year.

"Beyond Books:A review of life at IIIT Kottayam"

Placement Experience:

As mentioned in the starting college average package is somewhere around 14 LPA. Students are eligible to campus placement from 6th or 7th semester.They will also give 3-4 months holidays for doing internship. Highest package is 58.93 LPA and average package is 14.32 LPA. Internship and recruiters are like- Amazon,Nissan,IBM, Bosch,Infosys, TCS,jio , Wipro , suntech. last year 80% students are placed and this year 100% students are placed. My plans may be getting job of course.

The placement record of the college is good. It is also the fact that most of the placement from this college is to ISRO. But companies like Mercedes Benz, Viz Experts, Mahindra and Mahindra visit the campus for placement derive. The highest package for our batch was 12.50 LPA and the lowest was 7.80 LPA.
