IIT Hyderabad Review

Remarks :

I was looking for a college with good research and project activities. In my research, I found that IIIT Hyderabad is one of the most well-known names in research activity in the last 5 years the college has 195+ patents and has published 6000+ research journals. The college also provides one of the best programs for Artificial Intelligence as it also requires a lot of research activities. The placement of the college is also very good. So I decided to opt for IIT Hyderabad. The candidate must clear the GATE exam and must secure a minimum of 55% marks in the B.Tech program followed by the GD and PI round. After clearing the GATE exam candidate also has to appear for COAP counselling. To fill the admission form candidate has to visit the college official website and fill the form by paying the application fee of Rs. 300/- and for SC/ST/PWD student has to pay Rs. 150/-.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum follows the latest industrial norms and standards. The curriculum is divided into 4 semesters. The curriculum is designed to impart students with knowledge of AI and its imp[ortance in today's changing world, how AI systems can help in industrial and well as human development. The curriculum gives us an opportunity to take part in research activities.

Internships Opportunities :

We can take part in an internship program after completing the first year. The college placement committee provides us with the companies list that takes part in the summer internship programs. Students who have been involved in any kind of research activity can skip internships. The stipend for internship programs starts from Rs. 3000/- to Rs. 3,00,000/- for deserving candidates. The deserving candidates also receive pre-placement offers during the internship program.

Placement Experience :

The college placement record is according to the top IITs of India. The college provides a 100% placement record. The college placement committee helps us to identify the right company for us and they guide us throughout the placement drive. The highest package for our batch went up to 55 LPA and the average package was around 17 LPA. The college committee also invites star-ups for placement so that students can also be placed in start-ups and learn something. Companies like Accenture Japan, Google, Microsoft, MTX, Rakuten, TSMC, Tech Mahindra, Google, etc visited the campus during the campus drive.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college provides scholarships to merit students. The college also provides scholarships to SC/ST/PWD students. To know about the scholarship programs and the scholarship eligibility criteria one can visit the college official website or if possible can visit the campus too.

Campus Life :

The college also has a supermarket in the faculty tower from where students can purchase all necessary things according to the requirements. The college organises various fests and events for students. The college infrastructure is well maintained and very well cleaned. The volleyball, badminton, basketball courts, are very well maintained and keep the student busy in the sports activities. The college also celebrates the festivals of India like Holi, Diwali, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel rooms are big enough and properly ventilated. The rooms are equipped with some basic equipment like beds, almirahs for every student, and study tables. The mess food is very tasty and healthy. The hostel is well maintained and the warden is quite professional. The hostel also provides 24 hours high-speed internet facility. The hostel is equipped with all kinds of facilities and basic amenities according to the comfort of students.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college is quite supportive and helpful. The faculty support us a lot during our research activity. The faculties also guide us during the placement drive. The faculty of the college are mostly of PhD level with good industrial experience.

Placement Experience:

This is the most good part of this college. Placements are very good here for the CSE and other Circuital branches Placement are very good. Coming to the core branches they are a bit tough like everywhere else I'm from M.tech Environmental Engineering (civil department) Our batch strength is 28 . I'm writing this review on 22nd March, my senior batch (22-24) they also have same strength i.e 28. Out of 28 , 18 have been placed till date with av package of around 6.5 lpa which is a normal package which you can even expect from some good IITs (I'm not talking about bombay, Madras, kgp, Roorkee) . So Placements are really nice here and you will be exposed to various opportunities for your career growth irrespective of your branch. There are also various workshops and clubs which support entrepreneurship.

Placement Experience:

Mostly from 2nd semester of first year, internship opportunities start. Placement opportunities start during 2yr sem 1. Highest package is 28LPA and least is 3LPA Novartis, biocon, genpact , Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Sun Pharma, Aurobindo etc are few companies that provide placement opportunities. Most of the students get placed via campus placements. I decided to sit in placements and secure a job

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am interested in master, i want to gain extra knowledge about computer science. Faculty is sufficient, faculty students ratio is good. Some faculty is not good, I don't want to mention the name here but they are really worst. I can't think that why iiit keep professors like this.

Placement Experience:

Because IIIT Hyderabad is one of the high colleges in India, the college's placements are also up to par. During our batch, the college's highest placement offer was around 45 LPA, and the average wage offer was around 18 LPA. The college's regular recruiters include Amazon, Adobe, Google, Facebook, Jio, Samsung, Code Nation, Uber, Qualcomm, and TCS. Several of my classmates were also offered pre-placement opportunities during the internship programme.

Remarks:

It is a good course. Yet, Teaching staff could be better with more specialized trending research faculty and Placement department could be better with person from management background heading it.

Entrance Preview:

PGEE is the exam which is require to crack for initial filtering after that some candidates get selected and call for personal interview and this is the final hurdle to get entrance in IIIT.

Placement Experience:

Placement is awesome in our college. All the students got placed and average package is around 12 LPA. There are lot of companies I can't list all but just listing giant one Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Indeed, Uber, Amazon, Walmart. All did offer varying but in range between 20-50 LPA Note that the all figure in INR.
