Good and improving NIRF ranking, Ranking in THE,US NEWS and other foreign website ,Tag of NIT, nearer to home, Good research work, Was not getting any other colleges through counselling, Beautiful and green campus, Good environment and infrastructure for higher studies, Wanna pursue PhD, Relatively cheaper tuition fee than other NITs and , Nice hostels and good sports complex and facilites, Renowned and highly qualified faculties, Good on campus placement,

Course Curriculum Overview :

Mtech is a technical course. I chose the course as I want to pursue PhD. The curriculum is updated and so do the faculties teaching methodology.The faculties are alumini to renowned IITs and NITs. Almost every one is PhD holder. Sex ratio is almost 1:4.There are foreign students also especially from SAARC countries.

Class Size : 23Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Placement Experience :

Campus placement is not good. Few companies like Alstrom, KEC INTERNATIONAL come and takes very less student. Many students goes for higher studies (PhD). The highest package was 8 lakhs, given by Alstrom. Approximately 5 out of 20 get placed.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Tuition is cheaper as compared to other NITs. As I am GATE qualified I get MHRD scholarship of ?â_12400/month. On campus placement is very less for Mtech. Companies like Alstrom, KEC INTERNATIONAL comes. For Btech the placement is very good.

Campus Life :

The life in campus is very good.The hostel are open in covid time also. The mess food is good. There is LAN connection in very rooms. College has acess in IEEE Xplore, Mathworks, Science Direct and other reputed journals. Library is also open. There are basketball complex, playground for football and cricket too.

Admission :

No, I didn't have to face any Group discussion or Written test. Just through GATE EXAMINATION score, I was eligible. I sat at CCMT counselling for Mtech Admission.

Placements at IIT Guwahati are good enough to get you placed. All you need to do is prepare well. As an MTech student if you didn't get placed you can still went for PhD in foreign if you have worked well In your project and your guide is satisfied with your work

A detailed review of IIT GUWAHATI.

Placement Experience:

My insights will be focussed on M.Tech A mtech student becomes eligible for campus placements from 3rd semester, as for btech i think its 9th semester. I can't enlist all of the companies that visited so I will provide a brief list mentioning the sectors of the companies. 1. L&T, Dar Al Handasah, Spectrum, ASEC.(Structural Consultancy) 2. Very good choice for Masters in Mechanical

Placement Experience:

From the first semister itself you will be eligible for the internships but the internship opportunities are very less, very less companies have visited for internships For the Campus placement in the second year very good number of reputed companies like bajaj, TVS, mercedes, TATA, Jindal , GE etc have come with good packages Highest in core campanies will be around 16 LPA and average will be around 10 LPA 90 percent of the candidates will be placed generally

IITG, a place to live your dreams

Placement Experience:

For btech students they get eligible for placement in 7 semester for mtech 3 semester I was shortlisted in 3 company SCA technologies, IOD solution and raspa pharma. I got offer from IOG solution. Highest package domestic was 1cr and international was 2.4 cr for this placement 2023-24 season. Till. This time 70% of the students got placed. Out of 1200 students. My plans is to join the job.

Campus Life at IIT GUWAHATI

Remarks:

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is one of the 7 oldest and premier institutes of India.The campus of IIT GUWAHATI is also one of the most beautiful campuses in India. Situated on the banks of river Brahmaputra and with all the scenic beauty attracts many students. Apart from it's Beauty it has excellent teachers.

Admission:

For BTech you need to give JEE and for MTech GATE is compulsory. I gave GATE in 2019 with ME paper and my score was 743/1000.
