Remarks :

The management is well experienced. They handle every crisis properly and take proper decisions.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is relevant but not upto the industry standards. The students have to read various things other than their course materials to gain industry specific knowledge. Research takes place fairly. Industrial visits take place too often in NIT Silchar because of the presence of industries like ONGC etc.

Placement Experience :

The placement scenario is very good at NIT Silchar. Almost 94-100% students are placed every year in reputed firms like Vedanta, Tata etc.

College Events :

The biggest technical fest celebrated in NIT Silchar is Tecnoesis and the biggest cultural fest celebrated here is Incandescence. Both are celebrated at different semesters of the same year of college. Celebrities are invited to the college to perform. Also, distinguished scholars and scientists are invited as guest lecturers.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is feasible for all students as it is well versed for economically weaker section as well as for economically stronger section. The fee structure is divided into three categories. 1. For students with family income less than 1 lakh 2. For SC/ST students 3. For students with family income greater than 1 lakh. So it is beneficial for all.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is divided into three categories. 1. For students with family income less than 1 lakh 2. For SC/ST students 3. For students with family income greater than 1 lakh. The information is provided in the official website. Just fill up a form for loan and the SBI at NIT Silchar provides it to the students without any problem.

Campus Life :

The gender ratio of NIT Silchar for our batch is 10:1; boy:girl ratio. Students from all over the country come here to receive high quality education. There is little regional bias. Students are very tolerant towards each other. Extracurricular activities are prevalent in the environment. Sports competition, robotics events take place every week.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, I have opted for hostel. The students are basically accomodated in the hostels. Hostel rooms are sufficient for all the students. Facilities like LAN services, water coolers, fans, tables, etc. are provided to the students.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni are expert in their fields. They are very helpful and thoughtful for the benefit of the current batch. They have funded NIT Silchar for better development.

Admission :

Yes, I have got admission in this college. I opted for the course electronics and instrumentation engineering. The institute is in my home state. As I am a homesick person, I chose this institute for travel convenience. The admissions take place after JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED results are declared. The admission depends on the rank secured by the students.

Faculty :

The faculty of NIT Silchar is highly qualified. The lecturer and student ratio is satisfactory. The lecturers also hold industry-experience as well as certification. They are well versed in their domain and provide good education to the students. They are also very helpful as they help us to prepare for exams like GATE.

Crisp college experience

Placement Experience:

Placements in this college is quite decent . Students are eligible to sit for placements at the start of 4th year The average placement percentage was 90 percent last year with max package of 52lpa and average of 16lpa (for cs) .Among core branches , the mech department is quite good offers good packages and also have great faculties .

Faculty members are the best part of the college.

Placement Experience:

Almost 60% of students got placed in our course. The highest was 7 LPA, the lowest was 3.5 LPA and the average is around 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Vodafone, Jio etc. Our college provides better placements compared to other private colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've been enthusiastic about exploring more about software and programming which influenced me to choose the course of Computer Science Engineering. With further development of artificial intelligence, it opens up better learning and job opportunities for students. In my university, computer science is taught by experienced teachers and faculty but it would be better if they were more inclusive of certain topics which are extremely important for the students and raising the level of teaching including practical learning and understanding and also examining the student's capability is one of the aspects to be included.
