IIT Bombay - EMBA Experience

Remarks :

It was fixed that I will pursue EMBA programme and the reason I chose to do it from IIT Bombay was its collaboration with Washington University to offer this programme. Our institute was among top 10 B-schools of India during NIRF's 2019 rankings. Along with that it also has AICTE approval and to apply for the EMBA course students must have atleast 7 years of work experience along with a valid score in CAT or any similar entrance exam.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The fact that this executive programme is offered with association of the highly popular Washington University makes it match the best of international standards. The faculty, technical support, Interaction activities, industrial visits etc thing's made my overall experience at IIT Bombay the most memorable part of my life which I will remember in the years to come. The whole EMBA programme was spreaded over a time period of 18 months that covered all aspects of the domain.

Internships Opportunities :

I learnt a variety of things about Industries, their functioning, marketing and all related disciplines but the thing that helped me go Practically in them was the internship I got. It was really once a time opportunity and I took all possible benefits from that internship time period.

Placement Experience :

The value and demand of our EMBA programme was good and I think the major reason for that was the tie-ups it had. Various top names of the placement drive recruited EMBA students that too under handsome salaries. Nearly 140 companies were there and 88%+ students got placed during tye campus drive Accenture, ITC, Microsoft, Flipkart, HCL and Amazon were the best of name's among visiting firms that took the average package to INR 18.5 Lacs.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Our institute charged a whopping INR 36 Lacs for this collaborative EMBA programme which is quite high looking at the charges other management institutes charge. But one thing that justifies this price tag is the quality the institute tries to provide. The fee structure is not one everyone can afford and to tackle this issue students can avail the benefit they are eligible for which helps them get a good financial assistance for the course.

Campus Life :

For me the campus life was all about the things I can learn from the Alumni meet, industry talks, quizzes or competitions because I wasn't a lover of cultural activities. That's why I appeared in academic related events only and they were sufficient enough for me to learn about the quality our institute provided in its campus facilities. Sometimes I used to go to the canteen for refreshments and that was really a great experience to go there and interact with great personalities.

Hostel Facilities :

IIT Bombay is one of the most opted to IIT institutes and that's why the hostel services here have been established on a grand manner. The hostels for boys and girls are provided seperatly and the availability of rooms depends on availablity as well as choice of students. We were although 2 friends in a sharing room , having a seperate single bed, Almirah, chair for both of us. The dining hall was very large and we were served a great variety of food options during each & every meal. The menu also used to get changed as per the season

Admission :

The whole admission procedure of EMBA at IIT Bombay is quite the same like MBA programme in other NIT/IIT institutes, but the thing thay makes it's different from the other is condition of having at Least 7 year work experience to apply for the EMBA programme. Beside this thing, the factors noted are students entrance score, their academic profile and the performance they do in the interview ( Only if selected for the same).

MBBS courses very vast course. I choose MBBS course because after MBBS course there are many fields in which we can work so there will be many job opportunity. In our MBBS curriculum there are mainly three exams in college and one final University exam is there. MBBS curriculum there should be need of more practical based learning.

In college at year ending some companies are coming for placement, first according to whole semester percentage they choose the students who got minimum 60 percent marks in all semester without back-locks. Every year 20-30 percent student get placed, Majorly visited companies are L&T, Accenture, etc. Average packages are 1.5-2.5 lacks per year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course that I am chosen for Degree is a excellent choice, this choice is best for my further education and also for my future. In our collage 60-70 percent focus is on practical learning, only because of that at last year we are able to do our projects at own, with the guidance of our teachers.
