Remarks :

I applied for chemical engineering in nit Trichy under obc category. The minimum percentage required for this course is 98.5%. The admission process is taken by jossa counselling. It happened in nov . And the classes started in December for the 2020 batch.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I like this course because I was interested in chemical things and I want to be different from others. So I even left cse and choose this one. Here the faculty is so good. There is a lot of student interaction. The faculty are highly qualified and some have done their PhD in better iit. The exams are held after 2 months from start. Sem exams are usually after 6 months.

Class Size : 85Course Fees : INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Many internships are offered every year. I am in 2 years so not yet experienced any interns. But my seniors got placed in dr Reddy's, some IIT and many other companies with a stipend of nearly 15000-20000. They offer many internships based on their interest. If we have interest we have to mail them or visit the company website and apply for the internships.

Placement Experience :

From 6 semester students, are eligible for campus placement. There are like 192 companies that visit our campus and provide placements every year. The highest package is around 22 lakh and an average of 6 lakhs per annum. Around 99 percent of people are getting placed. I want to do higher in foreign countries.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees cost like 1 lakh for people whose family income is below 1 lakh. Whereas students with more than 5 lakh income need to pay total fees of nearly 2 lakh. We can apply for 1 scholarship a year. Even the college provides student aid funds for needy people. The college is so helpful for students.

Campus Life :

Pragyan. Usually happens in the month of March for 3 to 4 days. It is a student run fest where students from all over the country visit our campus to attend the events. There are. Many libraries, journals. And the main thing is there are many sports which are conducted among the students of our college and even with other college students.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels facilities are very nice. Per room 2 members are accommodated. Even there are air conditioned rooms. The meals are very good and they offer different types of meals for different mem as many come from different states. There are like 4 to 5 messes for students. There are many hostel blocks under different wardens. And are properly maintained.

Hostel Fee : INR 50000 per year

The average package of the university is 12 LPA. Nd the highest package provided in the previous year was 50 LPA. Almost 90% of students are placed during the campus placements. So no worries about the campus placements.
