Remarks :

I took admission to this college through my ISC result. You have to score more than 90% marks in your 12th board exam to be eligible for taking admission to this prestigious college. I got admission to this college through the general quota. The admission process is fully online and on the basis of merit lists.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The whole course curriculum is divided into 6 semesters through 3 years. Here the faculty and student ratio is 1:35. Physics is my favourite subject that's why I have chosen this course. The semesters are wholly dependent on depth physics and you have to study well to get good marks in exams. One has to score a minimum of 45 marks out of 100 marks in each subject which is a tough job. All of our professors are well-educated, humble and very helpful.

Class Size : 4500Course Fees : INR 4000 per year

Placement Experience :

Around 95% of the students get placements after completing the final semester from our college. The average salary package offered was 4.5 LPA. TCS, Infosys and Wipro are the top recruiting companies in our college. Most of the students are not interested in placements. They want to opt for higher studies i.e. MSc and PhD.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Needless to say, it is one of the oldest and best government colleges in India. That's why the fee is too much lower than other colleges approximately Rs. 2000/- per semester. If you score well in semester exams, you can apply for SVMCM scholarship, NSP scholarship, Kanyashree Scholarship, Oikasree scholarship etc. College also provides scholarships specifically for meritorious students.

Campus Life :

All types of events are held every year on our college campus including Rabindra Jayanti, 15th August, Bijoya Sammilani, Baisakh Parban, Basontatsov etc. Not too much scope in sports facilities but other extracurricular activities like singing, reciting, drawing, dancing is available. Classrooms are big, neat and clean and well-furnished. Labs are also smart and good. The library is huge with all subject books indecent amount. Yes, there is no scope for student unions in our college.

Placement Experience:

All 3rd-year students and sometimes 4th-semester students are eligible for campus placements. A lot of companies including TCS visit the college. On average, 4 LPA is offered. A lot of students who want to get into jobs right after graduation get placed.

Reasons for choosing Bethune College

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester, students will be eligible for campus placement. Many recognized companies like TCS, WIPRO, etc. visited and offered a job with a healthy salary after the selection process. Maximum percentages of students from Bethune College are getting placements in recognized companies. I also got selected in TCS. But my plan was to continue my post graduation degree, so I left the job opportunity. My future plan is to complete my pg degree in clinical psychology and after that, I want to complete my MPhil.
