I liked the way of teaching. As a Mathematics student I would say that teachers are very good in this department
College is clean. There is toilet in every floor

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was good at mathematics so I decided to take this subject in my graduation. This course has many academic benifits like you can apply for gate exam you can do MCA or MBA also and MSc ofcourse. This course is tough I must say that you need to focus on this .

Class Size : 13Course Fees : INR 9000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Year wise fee for odd semester is 4500 and for even semester is 5000 including the tution fee which is 660 laboratory fee is 3500, development fee is 350. Fees of my batchmates from other science background is almost same .I didn't get any scholarship from college

Campus Life :

Campus life is good. There held almost every festival celebration. Cultural programmes are arranged once a year. Infrastructure as a whole is good and enough for a student. Once a year a sports event is also held.

Admission :

I got selected in every college as I had good marks in all subjects above 90%. I selected this college because it's near the sealdah railway station. You can easily get local train or metro to reach this college. Bus service is also available just outside the college. As a whole it's very approachable

Faculty :

The faculties of department is very cooperative with students. Always ready to help the students. Faculty to student ratio is adequate. 1:3. I like Asis Basu sir and TKS sir. I like every faculty of my department. There are total 6 semester exams. Odd semesters are comparatively easy than even. You need to study 5 subjects till 4th semester and then 4 subjects are there.

Interview Experience :

No. It's merit based. Marks you are awarded in youe higher secondary will decide which college and course you would get. You need to apply for any course when the window opens. After few weeks a provisional merit list is published and you get a message for admission in your registered mobile number.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My teachers suggest me to take Chemistry honours. And I also wanted to become a scientist from my childhood. I also love to do experiment. So I choose this cource. I heard that here teachers are very good. So I joined this institute. The curriculum prepares me very good to step in real world. There are no such advice to improve, all is previously improved. There are total 6 semesters in our cource. Per year 4 exams are held, 2 mid-sem exams and 2 end-sem exams i.e. all year 4exams are held. The exams are too tough and few common questions we can find.

I have choosen this course because I was interested in it. Nd the faculties of this department is also good. All the professors of our department are PhD qualified and also researching on some field now also. They are quite frankly and helpful also. Remarks:

This is the Alipore Campus of Calcutta University of Home Science Department. This place is so beautiful in the middle of the city. The campus is full of greenery and the natural beauty of the campus is awesome. The friends,the professors, the scholars are too good to us. Every seniors are so helpful. I am in love with this college.

The college provides a student-friendly atmosphere. The college library is worth mentioning. The entire college premise consists of three buildings and they are separated by roads. This is quite disturbing since it takes time to attend general classes after attending honors class in a separate building.
