Remarks :
Our College is really strict, if any problem occurs they ask to go to University, our College doesn't take any risk. On the positive side, It's a great College, I'm proud of being a student of our College.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is not easy, everyone has to attend classes daily as the Practical classes are really strict but a lot of fun. Exam structure is good but one or two days of gape between exams makes it difficult for revision. Practical exams are fun, lab assistant is a little bit helpful.
Placement Experience :
There's a lack of job opportunities through our College. Scholarships are really good though. But one may have a part-time job while studying M.Sc here, it's 1% chance. As internship, anyone may have a computer lab assistant intern offer if he/she had BCA or MCA.
College Events :
Lot's of events and programs are held here like, Annual function, Freshers party, Rabindra Jayanti, Independence Day program etc. Small tours are held for every departments differently.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is very less as our College is a Government College and it's about 400-1200 Rs. per semester and for admission it's 1800-6000 Rs. Computer, physics and geography departments have highest fees per semester in our College.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No loan facility available in our College, but scholarships like govt. stipend available for all students, Swami Vivekananda's scholarship is also available for students above 70% marks in HS.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio is almost equal. Workshop is not available here but labs are really clean and awesome, lots of parts, chemicals, zoological samples etc. are stored. On the sports side it's not that great though early cricket and football tournaments held here. On the political side it's not that harsh.
Hostel Facilities :
I haven't opted hostel.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors are really very helpful. Whenever anyone have problems to ask professors, seniors are ready to help. Freshers parties are organised by our seniors.
Admission :
I have applied online for admission on different subjects, then according to merit list on different subjects I got admitted through offline counseling on Botany subject. It's not easy to get admitted in this College because it's one of the most prestigious Colleges in West Bengal.
Faculty :
Faculty of our College is really qualified. Many of our professors are Phd Degree holders and part-time professors are also Master Degree holders. They are very helpful and they give a lot of time they can.
